UC Davis Nurse Residency Program - Fall 2021

Hello,

Applications are open for the fall start of the Nurse Residency at UC Davis. I wanted to start the forum to discuss what unit(s) applicants are interested in, where are you from, etc. I submitted my application already and if anyone has any questions regarding the process, I'd be happy to help.

Looking back at your posts. I was routed about the same time you were (specified NICU) and I am still waiting to see if I get a call for an interview as well... Fingers crossed for us!

Those that are routed but haven't been contacted for an interview yet, don't lose hope. Remember there is an October cohort as well! ?

Question... have all interviews been for the August cohort? Or has anyone specifically interviewed for October? I'm just curious if I haven't heard back because I won't graduate until early August so I specified October residency in my cover letter..

I emailed my instructor asking that very question. He is a cardiac ICU nurse at Davis. I don't graduate till August either and am hoping for October. I'll let you know what he says.
