UC Davis Nurse Residency Program Fall 2019

Hi everyone!

Thought I would start a post so we can all keep each other updated on when we start hearing back from the units we applied to and the interview process!

What units did you all apply to?

Don’t lose hope! I was called today to schedule an interview. My preceptorship was in Med-surg.

Has anyone with their senior preceptorship in the ED heard back? I spoke to HR today and they said the ED does not hire new grads and the only other unit who may request us is the Trauma ICU

Nope. Haven't heard anything from ED or ICU yet.

Not true! My friend got an email to interview with the SICU, she precepted on the unit. Don't give up hope ?

I was interviewed for an acute care float pool position on Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Congrats for getting interviews guys! Hope you had great interviews and a positive response at the end.

I'm still feeling hopeful. I have yet to receive a call for an interview. I did my preceptorship at a Telemetry Unit (not at UC Davis).

I just emailed HR as well, the window for potential interviews is still open. If we are not called by mid-Sept, then it is most likely we weren't selected.
