UC Davis Nurse Residency Program Fall 2019

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone!

Thought I would start a post so we can all keep each other updated on when we start hearing back from the units we applied to and the interview process!

What units did you all apply to?

I was interviewed for an acute care float pool position on Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I was interviewed for a float position too! Have you received any emails from them after the interview?

Hi, I also interviewed. I don't remember if all those interviewed were supposed to get the skills survey or only the top candidates. Have you received any updates?

Yes, I received an email to complete the skills survey two days after. I haven't heard anything since then.

Good luck! Keep us updated.

Thank you! I will.

Has anyone that interviewed for the float position heard back from UC Davis?

No, not yet. Did you complete your reference check?

Yes, last week.

It’s tough to wait, but I don’t want to call them. I expect they’re really busy.

Has anyone heard from ICU or ER?

Has anyone with their senior preceptorship in the ED heard back? I spoke to HR today and they said the ED does not hire new grads and the only other unit who may request us is the Trauma ICU

I did my preceptorship in the ED and Externship in the PACU and was offered an interview for Med Surg. I have a friend who works in the ER and she said they haven't taken a new grad into the ER in 4 years and then ones they do take usually do an Externship or er tech their first.
