Hi everyone!

I'm starting this new thread for those interested in applying to UC Davis's Master's Entry Program Summer 2021 program. Hoping this will be a space where we all can ask questions/connect.

Congratulations to those who have been admitted!

I was also offered to be on the waitlist.

Did anyone get rejected? I'm curious because it seems applicants are either admitted or waitlisted. And when looking back at previous threads, I see the same pattern.

I am wondering if they give priority to students who live in the area. 
 

to the people who were waitlisted— do you live in the sacramento or bay area??

I live in the Bay Area and was waitlisted.

I am from the bay, but living in san diego. I was hoping that maybe priority is given to students in the area. I guess im trying to make anything up to make sense of being waitlist LOL. I really don't get it LOL.

Same LOL. I live in LA but I applied with my parents’ address who live in the Bay. Also trying to make sense of it all. I’m guessing the selection process is subjective and really just depends on what the school is looking for. ??‍♀️

I got accepted! 
I live in Orange County ??‍♀️But I did go to Davis for my undergrad!
Still waiting to hear back from 4 more schools but Davis is in my top 2! 

I applied last year and got waitlisted. They won’t release what spot you are on the waitlist. I will say that if you end up not getting in, that they did send an email giving the reason why. Last year they said that my writing wasn’t strong enough. That is all it came down to. I spent the past year working on the essays and how I could better answer them and that paid off. Don't give up!

I'm local too so I'm not sure if location has anything to do with it.

@zfeld did they give you any info last year? Like how many people on average get off the waitlist every year? That would be helpful to know.
