Hey guys! I just wanted to start this post for anyone applying for the 2022 cycle for UBC nursing.  Just wondering where everyone is coming from and their experiences.

Also applying from SFU! As far I'm concerned.. we use this UBC grading percentage conversion table: https://students.ubc.ca/enrolment/courses/grades

TLDR; Whatever letter grade you got in your course converts to the lower boundary of the grade bracket at UBC

For example, A+ is 90 - 100, B+ is  76-79, B is a 72-75

So if you got an A+ in a course at SFU, it converts to a 90 at UBC

If you got a B in a course at SFU, it converts to a 72 at UBC

this is so helpful! Thank you so much!

OMG you're also applying from SFU? I hope we both get in hahah

Likewise haha! This grade conversion puts us at a disadvantage. I hope our supplemental and casper scores boosts our chances! Lmk if you wanna link up or chat haha

This may be a silly question and I'm pretty sure I know the answer but it's they take 30 credits so 10 classes? each class is 3 credits right?

Well. I mean there are some courses that are 4 credits at SFU, that transfer over as a 3 credit course at UBC. I think it really depends because I know there are 2 credit courses that will only transfer over as 2 credits. In cases where counting back 30 credits lands in the middle of an academic term, the academic average of that term will be used for the remaining required credits to reach the total of 30.

On their website it says "based upon the most recent 30 non-nursing, university transferable credits completed at the undergraduate level".

I went to their admission information session about this, and they said that they stress that it has to be "university transferable". This means that it doesn't mean it has to be transferrable to UBC, but just be able to transfer the course to "universities".

Do you guys have more than four messages in your student service centre? I  feel like people are getting emails that I'm not getting?

Four messages talking about what? I don't think I'm getting any messages.

I have five:

1. Thank you for applying

2. Next steps

3. BSN pre-Recs

4. reminder about supplemental and transcript deadline

5. Missing Casper --which they have how

The application says complete with a green checkmark...

Mine is CSP-10202-224 as well. I think it just indicates a different test (yesterdays).

I don't think it's anything to worry about. I rescheduled my initial test. The code for that one was CSP-10202-223.
