Anyone on here applying to the University at Buffalo for the ABS program starting in May of 2015?
This is probably too late, but I took patho at UB in the fall of 2013. Like a lot of the classes at UB, it is taught by several professors, which makes exams difficult. You never really know what to expect on them since each professor writes their own questions pertaining to their topic. It's a very, very demanding class that requires a lot of time and effort for the measly one credit. I studied for hours every day and ended up getting a B in the class.
Also, waiting for a decision is killing me!! Has anyone heard anything yet? From past topics on here, it looks like we'll most likely find out next week.
I'm in the current program, last final of the semester is tomorrow, yesss!
We found it Dec 18th last year. My stats were overall gpa 3.0 prereqs 3.9 and I wrote strong essays and also explained why my overall was not that great. You all are free to pick my brain lol I'm off for six weeks and will have plenty of free time, I would of loved to have someone in the program to answer questions for me while I was in the application process!!

Hello, as soon as I saw your post I decided to sign up/in! I have been watching this forum for a while w/o actually becoming a member of the site. I applied to UB's ABS 2015 (very nervous, and I hope to get in) also, and I have a few questions:
1. When does the program start? Beginning, mid, or end of May?
2. What comes next after acceptance letter?
3. How many people are in your class? How is the class/cohort amostphere?
4. To work or not to work? If so, part-time or per diem?
5. What is your recommendation on purchasing books?
6. How is the program overall?
7. When can you apply for UB's graduate program(s), ex. NP program?
8. What is the class & clinical schedule like? What is a typical day like?
I know it's a lot of questions, but thank you in advance!
I also signed up for Patho at ECC North, the thursday class starting at 8 am. I will be taking 3/4 classes for Spring semester depending on acceptance (I already have been accepted to Niagara's program), UB did inform me that my Micro partially transferred over and that I will also need to take Micro Lab. I also will be taking Pharm (at Cayuga) and G&D.

I'm planning on taking the online version at ECC but I read the reviews for the professor online and they are horrible. That makes me a little nervous and hesitant. How many classes do you have left to take?
