I'll be applying for the 2015 ABS program. I'm a little nervous about my stats though.

I'm also applying for the 2015-16 ABS program. And also nervous about my grades, which are good but not stellar.
Hi Rosewater,
What is your overall and pre-req GPA? If you don't mind me asking. My overall GPA is horrible at 2.9, but I was told I could still be considered. My pre-req GPA ended up being 3.41.
My grades in all but chem are good. I still need to take pharmacology this fall, and I'm waiting to hear whether they'll accept my pathophysiology course. As far as I can tell, my pre-req GPA is the same as yours. One semester with some personal stuff distracting me, and I'm still trying to fix it!

Yes I was applying.. Did anyone else have technical errors sending it? Im over here freaking out
I didn't have any trouble sending the application, but I sent it on the 30th.
We don't need recommendation letters for UB, do we? I didn't see anything about them anywhere on the website, but I don't want to assume.
I'm still dillydallying over the "schooling gap statement" that UB requested. Every time I look at it, I add detail, then as soon as I save the Word doc I decide I don't need the detail. I need to decide I'm finished with it, and throw it in the mail with my transcripts!
Yes my app ending up going thru!!! Thank God! My overall gpa isn't the greatest either... What is everyone's and what are your pre req grades? No we don't need referrals . Which stinks and I guess they don't do interviews either. I wonder how many people applied and how many they can pick

I'm also applying for 2015. My overall is about 3.2, my prereq is 3.92. They weigh prereq GPA a little higher than overall, and actually weigh essays/GPA 60%/40% (which makes me feel a little better!). I met with an admissions counsellor; she said they actually accept close to 50% of applicants. I'm still insanely nervous though, it's going to be a long couple of months waiting for an email!
Yes I'm super nervous too!!! Did you apply to any other abs programs or just UB? What/when did u get your bacholers in? Yeah my overall gpa is not the best but I'm guessing everyone's is not really high or else they'd be applying to med school ? Lol
My first degree was in Spanish, I graduated in '08. I then worked in a non-medical job for five years. I've spent the last year+ working on my prereqs and volunteering in local hospitals. I'm hoping they care more about my life experience than my less than stellar academic performance several years ago How about you?
