UAMS Summer 2015

Anybody else applying or have already applied for the BSN program at UAMS this upcoming summer? Thought I'd start a thread for us to wait it out together and pass on any info!

*sigh* the waiting game & yes I took the online practice teas again on Monday after reviewing my weak areas & notes & scored higher this time, a 84%. So I'm going to relax, take my time & pray for the best & wow that is a lot of people they had last year.

84 is a great score! You'll get in for sure with that. The average for their program is only 75 I think.

I took my test today but only made a 64 I have already signed up to take it next Tues. I was kind of happy since you have to have a 60 but since they are not looking at anything less than a 65 that sucks. To be honest I just started studying this past Friday night so I know I can do better the second go round but that still hurt my feelings a little. LivinLovinWoman happy to hear your interview went well good luck.

That's still great for not studying much! You'll do much better next time now that you know what to expect. I have a friend that took it today too that didn't do as well as she hoped either. It's a tough exam! If you don't mine me asking, what is your gpa? I think that matters more to them than the teas.

It's not very good right at a 3.0 and I'm currently in A&P II, Microbiology, and Ethics. I have taken a lot of "fluff classes" Business calculus, intro to business, spanish so some of those classes has my GPA down. All of the classes that are needed I have a A or B so I'm still trying to figure out if they are going by all of my classes or just the requirements for the program. Hopefully I don't get denied before the next test.

LaShayJ you scored good, If only I can get past that but we will see how it goes on Thursday morning, and I think they only go by your prerequisites they require for the program but some of your other classes could count as electives though. LivinLovinWoman I hope they do consider the GPA more. I have a 3.46, But I think you two ladies are doing great.

Yes they only look at the gpa of the classes they require. I hope gpa is more too. I'm right there with you, 3.45 pre reqs gpa.

I think we are taking the same guy, he has a Sat. morning class I can't think of his name.
