UAH fall 2015 admission hang-out thread

Published

I spoke to (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) yesterday, and she stated that our determination letters will get mailed out by the end of this week. I'm dying to know if I got in or not, and I'm sure the rest of you are too. I'd be really curious to hear from anybody that received an early letter already!

That's an awesome score! I made a 72 in A&P and chemistry. My overall science was an 86 because I made an 88 in biology. I made a 90 in math and I'm more of a math-y person anyways. haha

Mail check, my friends! Anybody get anything today?

Still no letter. :nailbiting: Anyone have any luck? I'm so tired of waiting. It's like a bad Christmas present every time I open the mailbox.

Haha! Posted at exactly the same minute. Nice.

I'm not sure yet, I'm still at work at HH. I won't know until 530. Agonizing.

What's you job there if you don't mind sharing? I took a phlebotomy class at Calhoun, but I don't like needles THAT much. lol

I'm hoping that tomorrow will be the day. My mail comes so early, it's like how do they even process anything?

No letter today :(

I just do office work. Scheduling appointments, answering phones, checking patients in/out, that kinda thing. I'm hoping that it'll roll into an RN position when I graduate.

IF I EVER GET MY LETTER AND GET STARTED I MEAN.

If I don't get a letter by the end of the week, I will definitely be calling up there. If we all haven't received anything and they said they'd mailed them already... something is going on. COME ON USPS OR UAH! SEND US LETTERS! The good kind!

My major also changed from "lower division nursing" to "junior division nursing"!!! I hope that means something!! I still have not received a letter... im so stressed.

I'm hoping to get a letter because this semester has sucked for me. I feel like my gpa will actually go down and so it's kinda a now or never feeling.

jls0052 I hope it means something too! But then again it could just be because they changed things up.

I'd love for all of us to get accepted. When I first started looking into nursing school, I didn't get why they didn't just accept everyone, but the whole gpa thing makes sense.

Have any of you guys applied (or gotten into) the honors college?

No, im a transfer student so my gpa doesn't count towards anything at uah.

I'm pretty sure your gpa mattered when you applied to the nursing program... I'm also a transfer student. They look at your overall gpa and your science gpa. At least according to the website.

"Aminimum grade of C” in all prerequisite courses and a minimum cumulative calculated GPAof 3.0 on all prerequisite courses. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 in all science courses."

I got that straight for the application.
