UAB Summer 2014

I've been lurking here, looking to see if anyone would be starting a thread on the UAB MSN cohort for Summer 2014. Nobody has yet, so I'm doing it!

Application deadline is October 28th! Is anyone else applying to start next summer? I've applied to the WHNP program, and have gnawed my fingernails down to nubs over it.

I don't think they are going to waste time entering hundreds of socials and birthdays of rejected candidates!!! What purpose does that serve?!?! I mean...seriously?!?!

I have been lurking for the last few days. I am currently in the RN-BSN program and will finish it next spring. I applied to the MSN program I chose the adult/gerontology and second choice education. I am driving myself crazy watching the mail every day waiting for news. I can only hope that today, tomorrow, or Saturday holds the answer so many of us are seeking.

Believe me, I want to be wrong here but if you look back at Dec 8 posting, [COLOR=#003366]dsvirid085 posted that they are applying for next year but got all their application work into the system last week and he/she was able to register a Blazer net ID as soon as they had the app. There is no way they have accepted a candidate for a semester after us. I still think anyone who has a submitted app, can register a Blazernet ID. However, I am still waiting/hoping to see what happens when we start getting actual mail.

Fa2ns. I don't think they did. The system just pulled our SSn, birthdate from our applications

I have two blazernet Id numbers in th email from IT. Neither one is the one I created. It also says pre admit next to both numbers. I can't log in. I feel as though admitted students should be able to log in by now.

I'm about to throw in the towel.

dimples, don't get down. Pre-admit is good. It prob. means they are waiting for your acceptance of the slot. Some of us haven't even got that far yet.

The IT guy said I'm listed as pre-admit as well. I bet you are too, TheMolly.

I'm going in-freaking-sane guys. I think we will know something by Saturday...I also think pre-admit sounds like the status you would be in before admit, which would be after YOU accept the offer and sign up for classes...I dont think a rejected candidate would be any kind of admitted whether it be pre-admit or admit. Make sense? I am still perplexed over the blazer net ID situation and the person who could register one so early. Stubbornly hanging on to the idea you can't create unless in their "academic" system. I really just do NOT know.

I think we all missed our callings as attorneys. Our arguments though unsubstantiated are quite compelling.
