Hey everyone! I'm creating this thread for people applying for UAB's AMNP Program of Spring 2022 as a place for us who have questions, advice to give, etc.!

Did they happen to say why they were rejected so early in the process?

I haven’t really heard why. But I know one thing can be prerequisites not being completed. Since that was in some cases from last year.

Hey y'all! I had my interview this afternoon and just wanted to let y'all know that it wasn't too scary. Not saying I did great haha, just wanted to hopefully help calm some nerves - the interviewers were so kind and the info session was very helpful. You've got this! I'm excited to hear everyone's news!

@MRenner So glad to hear! Do you mind telling us about how many questions they asked or if the questions were difficult? Congrats on being done!!

they were very clear about not sharing any details, I'm sorry I can't be more helpful! It was about 20 min long and the interviewers made me feel very comfortable - they were so helpful and kind : ) I'm really sorry I can't offer more than that. I'm sure y'all will do great!!

@MRenner of course, no problem I completely understand!! Thank you so glad they were nice and helpful that makes it a lot less stressful! Thank you I am sure you did wonderful!!

has anyone else interviewed? How'd it go? And any idea when we'll hear back? I know it's way too early but I can't help obsessively checking my email haha

I interviewed yesterday and think it went really well!  Leah said she thinks we will be sending out decisions in a week to a week and a half

Congrats! that's so exciting! and great on timing - I thought she had maybe said we'd hear by the end of the week but honestly my brain was still kinda spinning post-interview and I thought that sounded unreasonably soon. I'll try to break my auto-refreshing habit, at least until next week...

I mean I would love that! I don’t know when interviews end, but I assume if they have time to discuss all the applicants that interviewed then they would send out acceptances soon after that.

Hello everyone!

I applied before the priority deadline with one standing pre-req (developmental psychology) which I will be taking in the fall. I just recently had an interview on the 19th and I think everything went smoothly. I am excited and hoping I get in! Good luck to everyone during this process!

Yay! Good luck to you, and I hope you get accepted!! If you don’t mind disclosing what was your GPA? I’m wondering if it was just more competitive this year for priority admissions, because a lot of people who had one pre-req left didn’t get interviews. I’m assuming it was more applicants

Hi! Yes, my GPA was like a 3.5-3.6 ish. I took some classes at a local community college because I thought I was going a different route in my medical career. I haven’t calculated it lately but my guess would be that numbers above.
