UA MEPN 2020

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone,

I'm considering MEPN application to the UofA next year. I've been in touch with the advisor, Chris Sogge, for the past 3 years. I have a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.Sc. in Biology from Canada . Chris said that I need a pre-req GPA of 3.7 at least to get into the program; mine is 3.3. Do I stand any chances? Did anyone get in with lower pre-req grades? I'm trying to juggle pre-req taking with a toddler. Thanks so much for your advice!

Marina.

My boyfriend is taking me out to celebrate and walk around downtown Phoenix if anyone happens to be there and wants to meet up!?

I was accepted into the Phoenix cohort! Can’t wait to get to know all of you and congrats!

Congrats to everyone accepted. Does anyone know what my chances might be like?

From what I recall from reading the forum from last years class it seemed like there were several alternates who ended up getting in. I know there were people from out of state at the interview who had also applied for the program. Fingers crossed you get a call soon. We have until feb 21 I think it was, to accept or decline the offer.

Hello everyone I'm new here!

I got accepted into the Phoenix location and I'm trying to make a switch to Tucson. Let me know if you or if you know anyone who wants to swap locations!

Did you put you would do either location or did you put tucson and they offered phx? Just curious. ☺️

I put "Tucson preferred" so that it increases my chances of getting in somewhere. I'm still going to go through with Phoenix location if they can't make the switch. My HESI score and grades were on the lower end so that's why I figured I would put "preferred" but hoping for Tucson.

Do you mind sharing your stats (gpa’s, hesi, experience.... the rest of us have previously shared as well). Just wondering what got accepted and what didn’t since I have a friend who didn’t get in. Anyone on the alt list willing to share as well?
