  1. I received mine about a week and a half ago and it came from the unit educator. Have you reached out to Cindy yet? Or your unit manager or educator?
  2. Congrats!! That is exciting. The only other thing I have done is register to renew my BLS before Feb. Sounds like at some point there is a health check too but I haven't heard anything further yet.
  3. Exciting NurseSarahC! Yes, they do ask for references after the offer comes. You must provide 4- former supervisors, faculty, or co-workers and an email is sent to them with questions to answer.
  4. Yes, let's connect! I don't think I can DM on here yet, can you?
  5. Hey! I had my first interview last week with Randall Children's and second interviews with NICU and PICU on Monday. I received the official NICU offer today. I hope you both hear back soon!
  6. @RngirlBsn2021 No. From my understanding this is a new program and something we are eligible to apply for after completing the MEPN program, not before. It’s quite a bit more schooling and $ but looks like an awesome program!
  7. Hi @KatieDo! I definitely think it is worth applying. While my last 60 GPA was higher my pre-req GPA was about the same and I was accepted. This year they didn’t take into account work experience unless it was healthcare related (although that could be different next year) but certainly your volunteer work would give you points and if you can get a caregiver job or volunteer in healthcare prior to applying that would be an added bonus. Good luck!!
  8. I’ve seen this list too....honestly it’s such a mess and they haven’t been very clear. I’m going off what Heidi posted in module 3 and her responses on some of the FB posts about just buying the Fundamentals and Med Surg for codes and then the Davis videos. You may want to post to the textbook discussion board in D2L and ask her for clarification.
  9. My understanding is the only two that require codes are the fundamentals book and the med surg book as indicated in module 3 of the orientation. They also want us to buy the APA new and the rest can be used. I bought directly from FA Davis because if you create an account before you buy they give you a 20% off coupon code for your order and then they are cheaper than buying new on Amazon. You also get instant access to the ebook while you wait for the hard copy to be mailed (if you purchase the hard copy). I bought the rest used from the previous cohort.
  10. Yes please! I’ll take all 4 and the medium scrub jacket as well please
  11. @Nursing hopeful87 I’d love the medium tops please! I’m in Tucson
  12. @TCimino I am in a similar situation with two little ones and was originally counting on daycare for them. With the current situation I don’t know if daycares will be back open in time or even safe to take them to if they are. I’m hoping all will work out!
  13. I haven’t heard anything regarding the current cohorts clinicals but did come across this article today about other schools around the country having their clinicals canceled. https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/926981
  14. I briefly talked to Jason yesterday because I just started my Varicella sequence and won’t be done by the 10th. He said they will likely be pushing back the due date for everyone’s requirements given the current situation. He hadn’t heard anything final but my guess is our start date will also be pushed back ?
  15. I’ve definitely been wondering too! May be wait and see for awhile. ??‍♀️
