Hi everyone,
I'm considering MEPN application to the UofA next year. I've been in touch with the advisor, Chris Sogge, for the past 3 years. I have a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.Sc. in Biology from Canada . Chris said that I need a pre-req GPA of 3.7 at least to get into the program; mine is 3.3. Do I stand any chances? Did anyone get in with lower pre-req grades? I'm trying to juggle pre-req taking with a toddler. Thanks so much for your advice!
Marina.

Yours makes more sense, them being tired and all. Mine was at 10:30 so idk, it probably wasn’t me, but it seemed like it at the moment & distracted me
Hahaha that makes me laugh that they were falling asleep. I can’t imagine trying to interview that many ramblers in such a short amount of time, my brain would literally explode ??I’m hoping it was more of a pass fail thing and you had to do REALLY bad to fail ?♀️Then all of our other scores would be what really determines if we get in or not ?. At least that’s what I’m telling myself ??? anyone want to share their stats so we have an idea what at least the 10 of us on here have got going on. I have a 4.0 prereqs 3.6 last 60 and a 93.5 hesi. I also have volunteer and professional experience that I’m assuming/ hoping they counted as medical experience ?.
I've put mine up before but here it is again...
PreReq and last 60 GPA 3.73 (weird they are the same)
93.5 HESI
I have 1 year as a medical scribe in the ED and 2 years as a nurses assistant on a dementia unit. Plus 6 months or so as a behavior therapist for kids with Autism.
I too am hoping the interview is just a... are they a decent person who can hold a conversation and be presentable kind of thing.

I am also hoping that interviews were just to make sure we can hold a conversation in a face to face situation and be relatively professional. But I would have burst out laughing if my interviewer started to fall asleep. ?
My stats are 3.8 prereqs, 3.6 last 60, 96.5% HESI. My biggest downfall is that I don’t have any medical experience but lots of real job experiences since I graduated with my Bachelor’s in 2009.

I am hoping for that too my stats are my prereqs 4.0 Last 60 units 3.9 HESI 91 and my work experience 3.5 years as a scribe and 6 months working at medication therapy management center

That happened in mine so I’m hoping that means we hear this coming week!!
In the room before the interview on the slideshow it said we’d have a response in 1-2 weeks. Hoping it’s only 1!!
