U-World or Hurst Review

hey everyone! i'm currently trying to decide which NCLEX review is better/more my style! I get overwhelmed with a lot of content so which review do you guys recommend? or how was your experience with either?

how much time are you planning to set aside for studying? if you have a lot of time (like about 2 months), i would recommend doing both programs if you can. hurst is great for comprehensive content review and learning test-taking strategies. the question review simulators (125 questions each, they give you 4) are also great because they are broken down into the 8 different clients needs categories of the NCLEX (management of care, health promotion & maintenance, etc...) so you are able to see which client needs categories you are above passing, below passing, near passing. from there, you can do practice questions from their 1,000+ question qbank tailored to the client needs categories you are weak in. HOWEVER, i don't think hurst is enough - you need uworld too. uworld questions are the closest thing to the NCLEX in my opinion, and it will cover content topics that are not covered in hurst. i gave myself 4 months to study for the NCLEX, and i spent a lot of time studying hurst review content til i knew it like the back of my hand, and then spent the last 6 weeks of studying doing uworld questions. and i passed! ?

I used Uworld and passed the Nclex with 75 questions the first time! I did about 50-75 questions daily for 2.5 weeks and read the rationale on all questions, even the questions i got right. it really helped me.

Can’t comment on Hurst as I didn’t use it. My school used ATI but I also purchased UWorld. I highly recommend U World-I did about 1700 questions out of a little over 2000 they offer along with self assessment test. I also did over 2000 Qs on ATI while using their books. Really going through and understanding UWorld’s rationales helped so much I think. I passed first time at 75 Qs. Sure ATI helped but by itself was definitely not sufficient. UWorld has exact same format as NCLEX and very similar level of difficulties. I think if you combine both Hurst and Uworld you will be golden provided you have enough time. Good luck!

I didn't like Hurst because I thought it was too basic. However, they give you personal help/live nurse teachers if you need it and is a lot more interactive. If you study better with that kind of interaction Hurst could be the better choice for you. Uworld doesn't have interaction- there are no videos of a nurse teaching you a subject. If you are someone who doesn't do well to study by yourself with just questions and rationales, some of which are visual, (Uworld rationales are superb and nothing compares) then maybe you would want to consider Hurst.

Think of 98.6 passing rate after studying the Hurt Review online course and the booklet. I said that all I have to do? I did. I passed in 75 questions in about 2 hrs. I read faster but I did not fly through it. M. Hurst and her team coached me in passing the RN Nclex. Of course, I covered the booklet 7 times read out loud. I took video notes. I thoroughly review any incorrect questions and corrected questions. Yes, I had crises in my life, but I did not allow those crises to disturb my thought process. I moved my RN Nclex forward 3 times until I had no time. I wanted to Crystalize what I'd learned the Hurst Review online. I did. Thanks to the Lord Jesus, I took Hurst Review. It felt like a Dejavu when I took the PN Nclex examination- I clocked out at 75 about 2 hrs too. I felt that it would impossible for me fail. I knew the answers to most the questions. The Hurst Review online is more than core content. Trust me.Spend$$$ the money the review. If you have discipline and 4 hours at least a day of study time. You will PASS. Oh, I was paid to tell you this too. This one is Free (? Lol).
