U Penn Second Degree ABSN 2017

Hi Everyone! I have not seen a thread started for the UPenn ABSN 2017 cycle yet! I wanted to start one and see if anyone else out there wants to chat about it! Very excited to hear back this month!

I submitted my app on 10/14/16 and once all my LORs were submitted 10/28/16, I received an email my application was complete and under manage my account, it states my app is ready for review!

thanks breadnroses! No there was no other information about the Meet and Greet. Just a link to register for interviews. I think they will be sending more information about it in another email!

Hey everyone! I got an interview invite for the family specialty and I don't think I've ever been more excited!

The school contacted me a few weeks back about missing information in my app. Turns out they want me to take the TOEFL because Spanish was my first language. Since most programs require the TOEFL only if you got a degree at a non-English speaking institution, I didn't think I'd need it for UPenn. I decided to wait it out till interview invites got released and if I got an interview I'd take it; if not then I wouldn't (because I don't need it for any other programs that I'm applying to!). So I'm stoked about the interview but stressing about the TOEFL. I really don't have the money to take this one exam for this ONE program. I tried reaching out to UPenn by email (to FC) but I didn't receive a response. Anyone else in this situation? Should I try calling the school? They want me to take it by Dec 1st so I need to hurry and figure out what to do.

Yes you should try calling the school because Thanksgiving break is coming soon and they will not be responding to emails during that break I believe. And December 1 is right around the corner!

I've still not heard back about an interview. Has anyone who applied just to the ABSN program heard anything back?

@Sylfaen I applied to the ABSN program, and I haven't heard anything yet re: interviews. I assume they're waiting on our mid-term grade reports before reaching out...not that I really have any insight! :)

It's my top pick, so I'm really hoping to hear back!!

Hi All, I received an interview for the FNP program and a link to register. Has anyone heard anything regarding scheduling the interview? I thought we would hear more details about scheduling last week but so far I haven't heard anything.

Has anyone heard about specific times for the CNM interviews? I was offered an interview but I haven't received a time yet

I found out a few days ago I was accepted into the full time AGACNP MSN program! Starting May 2017! Good luck everyone applying to the BSN/MSN program. I heard that sometimes NP students and BSN students do clinical scenarios together in simulation so ill see you guys around!

Hey starbucks, I'm still waiting on a specific time for CNM interviews too! I'm planning on flying up there, hopefully they haven't changed their minds about interviewing me :)

I haven't heard anything about ABSN interviews either!
