U of AZ Interview for ASBSN!

Published

Hi!

I'm so excited. I just found out that I got selected to interview for U of A's ASBSN program! :w00t:

In the email it said to bring my top three choices for healthcare sponsors. I'm not familiar with Tucson, so I'm wondering, what would be good choices?

TIA

Hi,

For those of you who got accepted to U of A and immediately sent back your acceptance letter, I just wanted to check in and see if you'd gotten anything back yet from the nursing school with more information?

Thanks!

Summer

Nothing from the school.

Only an email with contract from the hospital with a request to fill it out and send it back.

Okay, thanks. You are working for UMC, right? I haven't received anything from Carondelet. I'm more anxious to get the U of A stuff so I know exactly what health tests I need, etc.

Yes, UMC.

I searched for what most schools require (not just nursing schools) and found mmr, hep b and varicella zoster to be required.

The CPR (Healthcare/adult and pediatric) is the Nursing School requirement.

Has anyone received anything from the school? :clpty:

Just wondering.

Nope....still waiting....I have limited time to get everything done before I move so last week I emailed the Office of Student Affairs and asked for the immunization requirements paperwork, which they emailed me, so I can least get my doctor's appointments out of the way.

Hey, about the immunization form they emailed you, was it the one that I linked below?

Hi,

The nursing school one is longer - in addition to proving MMR immunity, must prove chicken pox immunity, requires TB test and also Hep B (need first injection before school starts). I can email it to you if you want to give me your email address.

Best,

Summer

Large envelope arrived from UA in the mail today.

I haven't gotten all the way through it...

Yay! I'll be sure to run home and check my mailbox after work. I imagine there is a lot to read and then do!

Best,

So...now that we have all the info, a few questions since I can't talk to the school until monday. Does anybody know what we are supposed to do about registering for classes? I tried to get a net ID today but it said I could not unless I was enrolled in classes - and the enrollment program said I could not enroll unless I attended a transfer student orientation and passed some health screen. Anyways, the info packet was a little vague on the enrollment procedure so I just wondered if anybody had already tried.

I'm caught the same loop and have not found a way out yet...
