U of A MEPN 2022

Published

Hello everyone. I am applying to the U of A MEPN program this fall for a May 2022 start. I'm super nervous and excited. Anyone else? I have not taken the HESI yet but will be doing so toward the end of Nov. Any advice?

The Davis bundle is actually cheaper and a good way to go since you have to have the access codes for hw. I skipped the elsevier bundle. I haven't seen your booklist yet to know how many books we current students have that are still applicable to new students

There’s no way to just buy the access codes and get the books used ?

Under the MEPN orientation course on D2L, there is Module 2 which discusses required textbooks. There are some textbooks (FA Davis books and others) that they require new. There isn't away around it. For the FA Davis books, use the code DAVIS20 to get 20% off. Hope that helps.

I think the bundle is a better deal because I added all of the books that are included in the bundle through the bookstore, in the FA Davis website, and included the 20% off discount, and it still came out to $800. However, this is if you wanted all of the books to be digital. The ebook only bundle through the bookstore is only $711.

My advice is to wait to order books until you can talk to your mentor about if they can sell any to you and when someone from the program says which books you'll need new and which you can use older versions. Financial aid kicks in right before school, but they give you enough, and you can even take out more through the GRAD PLUS loan if needed

Do you feel the financial aid offered is sufficient for living expenses in addition to the tuition? Or when you say they give you enough, would it be just enough to cover tuition?

I personally worked through the program so I didn't need loans for living expenses. However, a friend of mine expressed that the loans weren't enough for her, but she ended up taking out the grad plus loan and I think that covered her.

Do we have to pay it in full, or is it in increments?

You pay per semester and you can set up payment plans. And loan disbursement is also the same timelines

So, what does LHTI stand for? I see it has something to do w/ ExamSoft~

Also, on the FA Davis account creation page I don't see a MEPN option - has anyone done this already?

Has anyone gotten their financial aid package? Still says under review for me

Mine still says under review also.

For the people who got accepted that's not from arizona was your out of state tuition very high?

Does anyone have an idea of how much Summer session costs? Or where I can access the cost online. Will We get another award for the fall too? I got the financial aid award but don’t know how much I will realistically need
