Hi!
I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!
My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.
How about y'all?
Hi everyone! I am currently a student at TWU's Dallas campus! We got our emails around this same time last Fall. I think it was on a Friday around 3-4 pm- just a heads up. If you have any questions let me know! When you do get your acceptance emails, someone should make a Facebook page for your class. It is a lot easier to spread information/ask questions that way :) Best of luck! Let me know if you need anything :)
Do you remember the structure of your pharmacology class? How many drugs do you have to memorize? How often/what method are tests given?
So during my 1st semester (J1) I had class from 9-12 [Pharmacology] and 12:30-3:30 [Health Assessment] on Mondays and 8:30-11:30 [Patho] and 1-4 [Concepts] on Tuesdays **I took Patho during J1; some of you will already have it completed so you'll only be in 3 lecture classes to my 4**
On Wednesday I had Assessment lab from 12:30-4pm (this day and time varies based on your clinical schedule). On Thursday I had either Concepts Lab from 8-2 or Clinical from 6-2 depending on the week (again this will vary depending on when you are scheduled clinical). I worked part time (15 hrs) as a waitress and was able to balance my schedule pretty well :)
For PHARM:
We had lecture once a week; all the information we needed was given on power points in lecture- they also record all lectures on Tegrity (an online BlackBoard based tool) so you can go back and listen to lectures which I found pretty helpful. I know they have changed the class a bit since I took it and they have quizzes weekly know to make sure your are studying regularly. The questions are application based so it is important to memorize the important aspects of a drug like strange side effects, how it works and why you use it! It will all become more clear when you get to that point right now it all seems very overwhelming :)
Hey would you mind emailing me that spreadsheet as well please!
Thank you very much!

this is great because i hope to work a little during the program if i get admitted
At this point my friends who have applied to TCC and UTA have found out. I'm DYING! And this is so distracting before the path exam Thursday.....
Curiously wondering, what path exam are you guys on? I'm wondering if the schedules are a lot different between the 50 and 51 class? We had our first exam weeks ago and our second is next week.
