Hi!
I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!
My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.
How about y'all?
I'm so sick of the wait. Half of these views on here alone are mine, from how many times a day I come back to this website and check for any updates.
Just do what I do! I set the forum up so that I'd get a "daily update" if there was one. Don't do the "instant update" or you'll have so many emails! That way I'm not stressing trying to check the page :) we're almost to the finish line - hang in there!
Good evening y'all,
I am just as tired as you are when it comes to the wait. My application was submitted before the August deadline and processed August 23rd. My last name begins with H. I only hope that we all could remain as patient as we can and allow the college to process and rank applications in a timely manner.
I am very interested in knowing what is the percentage of students accepted into the TWU nursing program are veterans of the armed forces? There are many who are using their benefits to obtain their education, cannot repeat classes passed or take classes outside of their degree plan due to benefit stipulations, many are over the age of 26, and who are typically transfers from other colleges. I see a preference given to those students who are part of the ROTC program, but no consideration for those who have practical experience in a medical MOS, lifesaving training, medical licensure, or other related life experience. For these veterans, nursing is a 2nd or 3rd career option for them after discharge.
I hope to get an answer on this question and when we all can expect to hear back on the status of nursing applications very soon.

This is question's best answered by an adviser in the nursing department of TWU:
[*]Dallas Center
[*]Houston Center
Four more days!!
I just called the Denton nursing # to ask about when we'll be hearing back about acceptances and someone told me probably not until mid October. I'm really hoping they're wrong and we hear back this Friday because I have 0 patience left and in 2 weeks it'll be Friday the 13th (which just sounds more horrible).
I wish someone from TWU would stop by and update us with a firm answer.

I really hope it's this Friday, too. This has been a long 7 weeks.

Hi everyone! I am currently a student at TWU's Dallas campus! We got our emails around this same time last Fall. I think it was on a Friday around 3-4 pm- just a heads up. If you have any questions let me know! When you do get your acceptance emails, someone should make a Facebook page for your class. It is a lot easier to spread information/ask questions that way :) Best of luck! Let me know if you need anything :)

Thank you so much for sharing that information! Do you mind sharing what your weekly schedule is like?
