TWU Spring 2018

Hi!

I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!

My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.

How about y'all?

i've been seeing many posts with points attached. How can I calculate mine?

I guess because I just created the allnurses account, I'm not allowed to send private messages yet. I have to create 15 topics or something of the sort.

We did! I love it! It is a little overwhelming at first, they give you all the expectations for the entire semester (and program) at once! So, it's important to remember to take a step back occasionally and breathe! I had my first lab yesterday and I have clinical tomorrow, my lab instructor is amazing! The professors are amazing! Everyone is funny and kind, they try to make learning this difficult material interesting and to break up the dense content matter.

We have our first exam on Monday, but all of the instructors and upperclassmen are trying to help us prepare!

That's awesome! Hope your exam goes well today. I remember you posted about your schedule a little bit, like m-t was full day of classes and then you have clinicals/lab. Has that changed at all because of Harvey? Do you start clinicals right away? Sorry for so many questions! I am going to open house this weekend as well but I am so curious and impatient :p

I've been coming back here and checking at least 5 times a day to see what letter is going to be processed next. The anticipation is killing me.

I feel like the code of ethics and obligation go hand in hand. you are mandated to report such incident especially when she is a minor because ethically you know this isn't a scenario she's supposed to be in. It would be worse to leave her without help and let her rut in her situation, instead of being a medium to bring her to resources where she could get help

How do y'all calculate your point totals? Is there a page that I can see and if so can someone please post a link to it.

If you don't mind me asking, what stats did you apply with the first time around?

I saw that the acceptance letters for Spring 2017 were sent out on September 30th (Friday). I read that they send them out on a Friday right before 5pm so that students don't have a chance to call all at once and have to wait until after the weekend. We're on letter "O" sooo maybe we'll get ours this year on September 29th? or October 6th? I'm so impatient, I'm over here trying to come up with an idea lol.
