TWU Spring 2018

Hi!

I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!

My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.

How about y'all?

Did anyone get a large envelope today from TWU Admissions that turned out just to be an info packet on Texas Woman's University (not Nursing) in Denton? But, before you opened it, your heart skipped a beat because you thought that maybe this was your acceptance and maybe they are doing it differently this year by mailing out letters instead of emails? But then, when you realized what it was, you just dead-stared the crap out of it in an annoyed anger until you realized you were holding up at the line at the mailbox and needed to drive away? Anybody?

That may have just happened to me. Or whatever.

That happened to me last semester LOL!

For the record, the "New Student Admissions Packet" comes via email about a week or two after acceptances. In your email notification, it will have an attachment (maybe two) that you have to fill out and submit back to the school.

We did! I love it! It is a little overwhelming at first, they give you all the expectations for the entire semester (and program) at once! So, it's important to remember to take a step back occasionally and breathe! I had my first lab yesterday and I have clinical tomorrow, my lab instructor is amazing! The professors are amazing! Everyone is funny and kind, they try to make learning this difficult material interesting and to break up the dense content matter.

We have our first exam on Monday, but all of the instructors and upperclassmen are trying to help us prepare!

Hi everyone, I'm taking an Ethics course and this week's assignment is tough! I have some thoughts already but I'd love to hear what you all think.

Scenario: Tell or Not to Tell? 17 yo female currently living with physically abusive father, left home of mother because step father is sexually abusive. She asks you not to say anything. Do you fulfill your obligation to report or do you follow code of ethics and respect her confidentiality?

I keep going back and forth and have supporting arguments for both sides... what would you do?

I just got my email this morning and my last name starts with M... They're 1/2 way there!

Yay! Half way there :) my last name starts with M so crossing my fingers I get the anticipated email today!

FYI recent got a name change hence my username lol

I'll let y'all know when I get the email -- my last name starts with W and there's not very many last names that start with the last 3 letters after :-P
