Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

Hello Everyone! I'm new to the blog, but I've been reading it everyday for months! I just want to say Congratulations to everyone! Also I have been accepted to the Houston campus. I just posted on FB, and I am so looking forward to meeting the Houstonians! I want to know if any of you want to get together sometime. I won't be able to make it to the upcoming open house, but please keep me posted if any of you want to get together soon!

Congratulations to everyone who got in, I'm so excited for all of you!!

I still haven't received an email for Houston or Dallas :( I am wondering if there is some kind of error or what? My GPA is a 3.92 and my HESI score was an 82 with an 850 critical thinking score. I would think that would have at least qualified me for Houston.... any ideas? I'm totally bummed.

Does everybody mind sharing their stats for thoose who got accepted or rejected to help the future TWU appplicants in the future TWU forums? I got accepted to the houston campus and I'M 4.0 GPA with no .4 bump and 88 composite Hesi Score

i was accepted to Houston, 94 composite Hesi score, GPA 3.7 (go to A&M so no .4 bump for me)

i am in the exact same situation...i'm not sure what to do!

ditto here... does anyone have any info about TWU-H VS UT-H? I actually like the idea of 4 consecutive semesters with UTH but other than that I'm at a loss. I haven't done much research to actually pick one or the other because I didn't want to jinx myself! Since TWU's accept/decline deadline is so close to UT's decision, I better start looking just in case.. BUT even if i don't get in UT, TWU is fine with me! =D

i loved the idea of UT's 4 consecutive semesters as well, but last week my best friend was diagnosed with cancer so i think i'm leaning towards TWU just so i can have the summer off. i'm not really sure why but i've always wanted to go to UTHSC over TWU

Ali, i'm sorry to hear about your best friend. I pray for the best for your bf and everyone around her!

Yeah, i feel the same about UTHSC over TWU too. I graduated from UT Austin, so it may be just UT pride even though they are not really related, lol.

thank you! i really do appreciate it! i think the reason i wanted to go to UTHSC is because I had a really hard time deciding to go to A&M or UT a few years ago, in the end i chose A&M, and even though we may be "enemy schools" i definitely respect UT's institution so if i can't have my degree from A&M i want it from UT (even if it is UT Health Science Center)

I also got accepted to the houston campus. 1st degree from UT-Austin, 3.76 GPA (can i bump it to a 3.8? =P), 90 composite HESI, and a 820 critical thinking score.
