Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

I'm also taking gender and social change for the multicultural woman's studies credit.I don't get the whole patho thing.They only make patho available in person at the denton and dallas campus,but in the houston campus they have one pathophysiology class only for ppl already in the school of nursing! It doesn't make any sense why undergrade students can't take it at this campus,so i have to take it at another school.

I was going to take Spanish, but now I'm thinking that I may drop it and take a 2 hour Medical Terminology class that's online. It would save me from having to drive to Denton twice a week.

Ah that's cool. Yeah, I was really wanting to find some online psychology courses in addition to patho, but they didn't offer any. So I'm stuck driving to Denton campus Monday - Thursday.

Due date for applications is tomorrow!! :-D

Goopsy and Elizabelle - OK, so where were you two sitting in class today? I was sitting on the right side 3 rows back on the aisle. You can pretty much pick me out 'cause I'm the one with the cream colored fleece jacket (either on my person or my chair) because I get soooo cold in those classrooms.

I really enjoyed the class today, although my goodness she sure can talk fast. I think it's going to be an interesting class. Glad to find out that she curves and that she gives reviews for each test.

oh, btw I did register for the Medical terminology class and will probably drop the Spanish class, but I want to make sure that the requirements for the terminology class are not outrageous before I do it, which means now I have to wait until I get put on Blackboard by the online professor to see what the syllabus looks like.

im not taking anything else at TWU. im taking intro to nursing concepts at UTA and sociology online from cedar valley college.

butterfly_journey: where you in the computer lab talking to a girl who said most of her friends are "trust-fund babies" and that she lives in Denton but wants to move to Dallas? If you were, that was me sitting on the same row. I looked up when she said that, and I think I saw you because whoever was talking to that girl mentioned that they were taking an online medical terminology class too!! must have been you lol. You might have seen me...I was wearing glasses, dark hair, with a black jacket on. I was like 3 minutes late. Yes, she does seem nice and talks verrrry fast. When we have class 2 weeks from now, I will be sitting closer to the front if I get there early enough.

Goopsy, yep that was me. I almost dropped my jaw when Megan said she had trust-fund baby friends. I got there at about 7:50 this morning and was able to park in front of the building if that helps with planning. I was probably one of the last ones to be able to because I actually parked on the street part. I didn't realize the situation about the shuttle bus and the remote parking until today. What a pain.

haha, small world. sorry for eavesdropping, but it was hard not too since it's a small computer lab. If I recognize you next class I will introduce myself, but I might not since I only glanced yalls way and didnt get a good look.

Keep a look out for the cream colored fleece jacket. I almost always have it with me. :)
