Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.
Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?
I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.
If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?
Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!
I think the reason not many are interested is because it is really EVERY single weekend for the duration of the program. I believe it's all day both days (might not have that completely right, but it's a significant portion of your weekend). I've heard that it's been difficult to recruit teachers to teach it because they too have to commit to every weekend and most don't want to do that.
i called the twu admissions office and they said that the august scores will not be in until the first week of september. so don't call them if you took it in august until then.... they told me that it will NOT hurt your chances of getting in since twu knew that this would happen. just an fyi!
Anyone starting Pathophysiology tomorrow? I'm starting it at the Parkland (Dallas) campus. I've alread tried to start reading for it, but after such a difficult and LONG summer of 14 hours, I think I've hit burnout. All the words on the page just looked like it was gibberish and I had absolutely NO motivation to look at it. I sure hope that I can get into the groove otherwise it's going to be a LONG semester.
Wishin' everyone luck with their application process and getting in. Look out TWU, here we come!!!
butterfly_journey, I am taking it at Parkland tomorrow morning! and so is elizabelle. i wish you were taking it with us Rha_hea!
Plasma, I was thinking about the weekend program, but then i saw that it is EVERY weekend. I would have liked to get a weekend off a month or something. The times are not bad though, I believe you get off at 2 pm or so.
I am so excited to be on this journey with everyone here! :yelclap: I wish everyone the best of luck, and now the real journey (of waiting) has just begun!
