Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.
Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?
I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.
If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?
Yes, * ********. Did you do your Hesi yet? I have to do mine next week, and I am very anxious. The admission to the nursing program is very competitive, and the cut off GPA varies each semester based on the applicant pool. There are multiple criteria including: GPA for prerequisite coursework; admission assessment test scores; grades received on first attempt for A&P I and II, Microbiology, and Statistics. Consideration will be given to students who have completed 32 or more semester credit hours of required non-nursing lower division at TWU. (From Bachelor of Science FAQ). So, let just pray .
Hi everyone, I new here and I am applying for Spring 2010, I'm getting ready for the HESI...I'm excited/nervous/anything under the book and that is me....all i think about is the HESI. I hope we all get into the program.. I'll pray for everyone. I'm taking path this fall too, so anyone in that class maybe we can hook up b/c I heard the class was crazy hard... I've been at TWU for year now so I will be getting the .4 bump. which I need. when I met with Sharen (i believe counselor @ TWU Denton) she told me the lowest GPA last con date was 3.799, but I'm not sure they tell everyone something different.
About the HESI was it any medical terminology on there? And if someone could look at the website I posted that took the HESI already and let me know if it is a good website or not...

There might've been some medical terminology in the vocabulary and anatomy and physiology section but it was very simple. If you've taken A&P within the last few years, you'll be fine :)
Sorry ladies, not a lot to post about, but we were falling off the first page so I thought I better bump us up. I'm sure we're all involved in trying to finish up this summer session, I know I am and then I'm turning in my application. Thank God it's only 10 more days. I hope I can last that long.
Hey everybody. I was wondering who took their Hesi in july?I forgot all of the people who were taking it the same time as me but I know TWU said they get the scored the first week of the next month,which should be this week,but i don't see my exam scores on my pioneer portal.Has TWU got anyone elses July hesi exam scores??
Yeah, i was wondering the same thing. Will they post our grades on our pioneer portal... or just a confirmation that they received them would be nice. Does anyone know about that or is willing to call in to TWU or the testing company?
On your student menu along with where u register for classes,the main menu that has like your financial aid,class registration,transcripts stuff like that. I'm looking in test summary,but I'm only assuming they would put it there.I'll call TWU tomorrow and see what they say and let you guys know.

Yeah I understand just to be on the safe side.I can't wait for this nail biting application period to finally be over!I hope we all get in =D
