Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.
Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?
I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.
If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?
Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!
I did not have a separate section on my test that was titled "critical thinking". I just logged into my Elsevier account and checked my scores and I didn't see that. The only thing I saw was vocabulary, and when I clicked on that section it said Vocabulary and general knowledge. Is that what you are talking about?
Yeah just fill out your application and it will tell you to state the claasses you are currently taking.also it will give you the nursing core classes yoou have to have in by the deadline.yeah I'm taking Lifespan now and summer 2 isn't over until aug 14 ,and that's one of the classes I have to have in by sept 1st,so as soon as summer. 2 is over I have to fax, ovenight mail my updated transcript etc to student records to get it in there fast so it was be in student records by da deadline or they will throw out your application.
If I haven't taken classes relavant to nursing between when I submitted my transcript to TWU for general admission and now, I don't need to submit another one right? I was just planning on submitting it after I earned my degree in december. Well actually....I took a drugs and human behavior class during summer I.... I just don't think that would be looked at....
Well u wanna send the most updated transcript regardless like if. You've taken classes and earned more grades toward your gpa resend it,but u wanna watch out because there are certain classes that must be completed before the deadline like nutrition, micro,a&p,lifespan and classes like dat you have to check on their website becaue I don't know the sepific list right now.the application itself list the classes as well when ur applying
here is an email i just received from the advising office:
hi,
we do not start looking at the applications until after the september 1 deadline. so as long as your courses are completed by that deadline and you have an updated transcript sent to twu (if you’re not taking the courses at twu) by the deadline, you will be fine to apply now.
regards,

I've earned more grades towards my current university GPA, but not my TWU prereq gpa...so i'm not sure if sending in another transcript would help much.... ah... i'll probably end up sending another one right after summer session in august even though it doesn't really affect anything.
Hey,is anyone taking 2013 gender and social change for their multicultural woman's studies credit this fall?I registered for the class, and I think I'm going to take a professor named Thompson,Beverly. It seems like alot of ppl are registering for her class, because I had to get on the waitlist and wait for a spot to open.Does anyone know if she's easy?It seems like she is,but I can't find any reviews on her on ratemyprofessor.com, so I was wondering if anyone else heard anything about this professor. Thanks
Hi! I just joined the site two days ago. I will take the class too. I do not really know about the prof, but I took one of kind of ws in summer I. It was a hard class ws 3383 dance, gender and culture. It was not easy. I think woman study is a really good class, I learned a lot.

Oh yeah, and like mau00 was saying...does anyone know about if the 'critical thinking' section is included?
