TWU Spring 2010

Published

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

Kimmy088, no WE don't. I just highlighted that part of the study guide to make sure that I go over that portion just before going in to take the test. Funny that you just asked that, 'cause I just highlighted it. :)

I don't remember how many yards make a mile. Geeezzzzz....

Thanks for the info Goopsy, I've calmed down a bit and am just going to review like you said. I can't remember everything, and I don't think that it's productive to even try. I'll just go over the study in detail and hope for the best.

thanks again,

Hi goopsy, thanks so much for the reply. I was finally able to get the lady on the phone from the school here in Houston and she told me if you aren't core complete at the school you are transferring from that you have to have Math 1013 and the womens multicultural course, and that computer course as well. After looking at what's required to be core complete at Lone Star it's just going to be easier for me to take the college level algebra class along with the math 1013 and just the regular stat class. It's a run around, but she told me unless you're core complete there's no way to get around that math 1013 course. So I'm just going to have to suck it up and take it.

Other than that the other courses are the same for UT. So that way I can apply to both schools at the same time.

Thanks so much for your time and the info!

Have a good one! :)

I'm guess you capitalized the "we" because I should've put "I"? I'm not sure...haha...sorry I don't get these things very easily. So, we (meaning people who need to take the HESI) do need to know these conversions correct?

yes, you need to know them.

thanks

sorry about my slowness *sigh*

I have a question for those who have already taken their HESI A2 exam. I just went back to look at my grades online, and it shows the avg of everyone who took it in May for chemistry was 32 and for biology and A&P it was 33. I thought this was extremely low. Do you think this avg includes the people who didnot take that section and its calculating 0 as their score? You would think they just averaged the people who took that section...What do you think? Did anyone who took it in June have low class averages for those 3 sections as well?

btw, who takes their HESI this month?

Also, does anyone know how to send results to another school?

No, actually I said WE because I was emphasizing the fact that I'm in the same boat and need to know it too and don't. Please don't take any offense, I didn't intend it.

Goopsy, I'm taking my HESI on Friday at 12:00.

BTW, does anyone know what happens if you don't show up for your date. I'm assuming that you don't get your money back. Is that right?

Also, who will be in *****'s class on Monday? I will be. Trying to get these classes completed before Sept. 1. Geez, so close, yet so far away. :)

Also, anyone already signed up to take patho at the Dallas/Parkland location for this Fall? I've already registered and it let me so I'm taking it as long as I don't get kicked out for not being in the program.

I don't think you would get ur money back if you didn't show up. Also, I think they won't let you take it again (I read on some post that happened to another person).

It is so close! I will be in the Dallas/Parkland class, so I guess I'll see you there! My friend is taking the 5 week summer course, and she told me today that it's been rough since it is so short, but with a longer course, it should be fine!

Does the HESI really take 4 hours?
