Hello everyone just wanted to see if there were anymore hopeful spring 2009 applicants out there. I submitted my application already and just sitting back waiting till Nov when acceptance/rejection letters are sent out. I know they said for us to check out emails everyday in October. If anyone has been through the application process before please share your experience. Good luck to everyone :wink2:
Nov is soo long from now!!! Does anyone know about how many students they take a semester?? I thought it was 50 but couldn't remember. Did everyone check blackboard to make sure their info was correct??
Used to be 60 but probably depends on the number of clinical instructors they have since it's capped at 10 students per clinical group.
You might want to make sure that the Patho. will transfer. I took Patho at UTA, but I am taking it this semester for TWU because it would not transfer which makes no sense to me at all, but that is beside the point I suppose.
Just double check because if it does not transfer you will have to take it once you get into the program or before is much better....trust me on that one.
Good Luck to everyone!

I have a lot of other classes listed on my transcript with a total gpa listed with my 80 credits.
Remember they take 80% GPA and 20% of your Net Score. I have a 3.71 gpa, but that doesn't necessarily mean I will get in either. My Reading Comprehension Score was 67 which is a good score. I have a friend that has a higher GPA, but a lower Net score and when you calculate that information my overall score is higher than hers so you never know.
What is your gpa or did you already tell me that?
Well I already have a degree so I guess they just pulled mine when I looked. I only have a 3.5 since I made a C in my undergrad but I'm currently retaking that class. I made a 80 on the reading. I doubt this will get me in this spring but as long as I make a A in that class I have a good chance of getting into the spring
You still have a good chance of getting into the Spring as well because you have a higher score than I do with 80% of a 3.5 and 20% of your net which you scored an 80 so you could still get in as well. I have 80% of a 3.71 and 20% of 67.
Continue to be positive and work towards your goal!

Hello Princess WannaBe
Any word on your end? None on my end as of yet! I am not for sure how the GPA and Net Score really work because I know they use 80% GPA and 20% NET, but I see people with higher gpa's and lower net and vice versa and really do not have a clue as to who gets in or not.
Does anyone have a clue how this works?
Thank you.
No emails on my end either. I really wish they would go ahead and send out rejection letters. If they know they aren't going to pick me then go ahead and put me out of my misery already!!! I have no idea how they make their selections. You have nothing to worry about I'm sure you will get a packet in the mail.
