Hello everyone! I tried to search for a thread for TWU Houston Spring 2016 applicants but I couldn't find it so I decided to make one. I have read multiple threads from the past TWU applicants and I cant seem to figure out where I stand because some got accepted with low GPA but high TEAS score while others high GPA but low TEAS score. A little bit confused on how TWU determine their candidates.
Is anyone else applying to TWU this Spring? If so what's your stats?
My stats:
GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 76
No previous degree
4 TWU preference ( not sure if this gonna help or not anymore)
Have anyone already applied? I'm still waiting to get admitted to TWU because you have to get accepted to the school itself first before you can apply to the program, but 3 days after I applied to the school I got my student ID and applied to the nursing program from my Pioneer Portal account so I'm slightly confused because I'm still waiting for the school admission
I just submitted my application to TWU 2 nights ago, and I haven't heard anything back yet, waiting to get my admission as well and my student ID and Pioneer Portal info :/
I am kind of concerned I started the process too late
@147nataly, I think from what I've heard it's almost immediate.... I saw someone take it on a past thread literally like a week and a half before the deadline.
TWU is very friendly and helpful from what I hear, call them and ask! Let me know if you find anything out, I was planning on registering Monday :/
I will. I looked at the atittesting website and the only dates left for TWU applicants is on Aug 25. I know we can take the test under different schools, but I don't want to pay the extra money to get it transfer over. I already spent so much.
I'm not sure about that either :/ I requested ATI to send my score to TWU but I haven't heard anything back yet. I might have to call them Monday. I read the past threads and some people said sometimes it took them more than 2 weeks for the schools to receive it
I am applying to TWU and am wondering what would be the latest I could take the TEAS. I just took the HESI I guess that helps with the teas english sections but I'm worried about the science and math due to it being timed by section. I would like to get as much study time as I can because this test is harder and I just want to increase my odds.
and I've been reading the comments about admissions to TWU (not the nursing school) and they accepted me fast. I just applied using Apply TEXAS and then sent them my transcripts. After a week I saw that my admission status said accepted, so I sent an email to [email protected] and they confirmed that I was accepted to the university. They say that they accept all year long. Hope this info helps.
Oh wow! I'm gonna sign up tomorrow, that's what I get for not doing it earlier, now I'm really worried they won't get my scores in time for the deadline 😓😓😓
@bryanv I'm in the same boat as you, so any info you find out please let us know! I'm going to call them Monday as well and ask if it's ok to take the TEAS the week before the deadline :/
