Hello everyone! I tried to search for a thread for TWU Houston Spring 2016 applicants but I couldn't find it so I decided to make one. I have read multiple threads from the past TWU applicants and I cant seem to figure out where I stand because some got accepted with low GPA but high TEAS score while others high GPA but low TEAS score. A little bit confused on how TWU determine their candidates.
Is anyone else applying to TWU this Spring? If so what's your stats?
My stats:
GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 76
No previous degree
4 TWU preference ( not sure if this gonna help or not anymore)
And good luck to everyone who is applying!
The TWU bump for previous Bachelor's degree does not apply to just TWU graduates, once you have a previous bachelor's, you receive the bump for that.
Hello everyone has anyone ever heard of someone getting in with a 74 on the TEAS? My stats areGPA 3.7
Teas 74
Previous Bachelors : Yes
Does the preference only apply to those who received a Bachelors from TWU? I'm wondering if I will get the preference since my B.S is from the University of Central Florida. Idk if I should even apply. Any thoughts?
Yea like Bri said, last year they found out early October! And year before mid-October.I agree, it would be so nice to know early next month.
I'm curious, have you guys applied elsewhere?
As of now, I haven't applied anywhere else. If TWU doesn't work out, I plan to apply UT-Health Science in San Antonio in December for their Accelerated BSN Program.
What about you?

I applied to UT health science center here in Houston and PVAMU as well. I am really hoping for UT or TWU, they are my top choices- but also the most competitive
I am concerned because although I have pretty decent HESI/TEAS scores, my GPA is on the lower end of the scale. So if I don't get in this time around, I am already retaking 2 classes to boost up my GPA, and I will reapply next round. I'm crossing my fingers, though, and hoping and praying that won't be the case and I'll make it in!!!
Do you live in SA now? I was wondering why the UT there instead of here in Houston?
