TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

Also, id love to hear what everyone's admissions scores are and where they're applying! Im appplying to Dallas. Here's my info:

Nursing GPA: 3.64

Pre Req GPA: 3.72

TEAS Composite: 86.7

Reading: 89.4

Math: 93.8

Science: 85.1

English: 75.0

TWU bump

Admission Score: 59.9

I'm also applying to Dallas Traditional! Super nervous since my admission score is a bit lower than I was hoping but it is what it is!

Nursing GPA: 3.69

Pre Req GPA: 3.79

TEAS Composite: 90.7%

Reading: 87.2%

Math: 100.0%

Science: 89.4%

English: 83.3%

Previous Bachelor's Bump (whoop!)

Admission Score: 56.48

Hello guys I’m applying to Houston Campus. I’ve been active on this thread, but have not yet put my scores because I wanted to wait until my summer courses where over.

Anyways...here are my scores:

science GPA: 3.92

Teas Composite: 86%

Reading: 78.7%

Math: 100%

Science: 85.1%

English: 79.2%

Admission Score: 47.4

I would also love to hear of everyone who is applying to Houston Campus and their scores.

Would it make sense if I sent my transcript in right now, without reflecting my summer classes so I can meet the deadline, and then send them again after my summer grades are in? that way I'll have the transcript in by the 15th? I'm getting super nervous about it.

If your summer class ends AFTER August 15, then yes send now. But if your class ends before that then you should be fine to send them in electronically before the deadline..

It depends on what classes you're taking. I read on NursingCAS that you need to have all the required core classes on your transcript before applying. Like all the science courses.

56 is a really good score. Did you take all your classes at TWU? 56 is pretty high to get without a prior Bachelor or without the TEAS.

Houston advisor told me 87 is competitive for TEAS scores!

It's on the TWU Nursing website. If you scroll near the bottom there's an excel WS called Prerequisite Advising WS. Download that and plug in your info! And if you need some help, there's also an instruction sheet right after the excel link.

I read today that it DOES have to be verified by Aug 15 to be considered. It was under the program materials page. This makes me so nervous because I can't hit "submit" until I hear back officially from TWU, then I'm afraid it won't be enough time for CAS to verify.

Has anyone spoken to an advisor that said as long as everything is submitted its ok?

Here is what it says verbatim:

"Official transcripts from each college you’ve attended with all college-level coursework (including dual credit) must be submitted to both TWU’s Office of Admissions Processing and NursingCAS.

Your NursingCAS application must be verified by the August 15, 2019 application deadline in order to be eligible for consideration. This means that you must enter all previously earned, in-progress, and planned college-level coursework in the NursingCAS application, and provide official transcripts electronically or via mail to NursingCAS."
