TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Updated:   Published

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

What kind of fishy things? ?

I knew a couple of people that had some issues when it came to their application and I just advised to make sure my app got to where it needed to be! It's always nice to confirm that your app got received by the school!

Do y’all think the new 2 attempt rule for the TEAS will make this application less competitive??

I don't know. I personally can see how it could potentially make it MORE competitive, as everyone will be competing with higher scores. I got a 90.7 on my first attempt, and have decent TWU application score of 57, but decided to retake the TEAS tomorrow just to see if I can get my application score up to at least a 60. I would think the higher application score would make the process that much more competitive.

Hey guys, i'm currently filling out my nursing cas application and i'm yet to see where i am being asked for the particular campus i'm applying too, do you guys know when that stage is, and i see people talking about their admission score and it's getting me scared cus i checked mine and it's just a 43 without my teas ( i am applying to houston).

It asks under the "Program Materials" section of the application, under the "questions" tab.

I know that once you take the TEAS you get the scores immediately. But how long does it take to actually be received by NursingCas once you submit them in?

TEAS score doesnt have to be verified since you are uploading the office grade report from ATI, so it is received by NursingCAS immediately. It is only transcripts that have to be verified and take time to process.

Sorry if it's already been posted in this thread, but does anyone happen to know what the admission score cutoff for Houston was for both Spring and Fall 2019?

Ive seen a few comments say 45-46 was the lowest that was accepted

Ok, I am really late to the party here and would love some help. I was only applying for the Pacesetter program at UTHealth because the other programs in the area seemed much longer. Well yesterday I found the TWU program for the first time. I have scoured the website and the first advising appointment I can set up is for Sept. 5., but there is some info I can’t find. It looks like I have the majority of what I need to apply as a transfer for the program but would someone help me by telling me when the application deadline for Spring is or even just link the info page?

is anyone else planning to apply as a transfer for just the nursing part of the program in Houston? I am nervous I am already too late. I am on a bit of a time crunch to get in someplace so having another BSN program to apply to would be amazing. Thanks!

I know the lowest accepted in fall was 39 and in last spring it was 45! so I think a score of 43 and above should be good?

Hey guys, so i’ll Greatly appreciate it if you guys give me some tips on how you used your time while taking the teas, because it really messed me up the first time I took it. Thank you
