TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Updated:   Published

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

You guys I’m freaking out! My transcript still hasn’t been updated from my summer classes. If it comes down to it, could I submit my application without the last transcript and have it arrive after the deadline? Funny thing is, my summer class was at TWU!! Should I email?

Hey guys, so i’ll Greatly appreciate it if you guys give me some tips on how you used your time while taking the teas, because it really messed me up the first time I took it. Thank you

I used the ATI TEAS book and the online exams and those helped me a whole bunch! I do find the TEAS book lacking on sufficient info for A&P though. I supplemented with this website (https://www.straightanursingstudent.com/nursing-notes/free-study-guides/ap-notes/). It goes into depth on different systems and I felt it was a really good review! The online practice exams are super helpful because it will tell you which subjects you missed so you know which ones to focus on. I would also brush up on your vocab (it's been a while since I've needed to know big vocab words haha). I think you could definitely use an SAT vocab thing prep and it would work great.

Yes, I would reach out.

Hey everyone,

So I retake my TEAS on Thursday and luckily I passed all the subjects but had low scores. I only had 1 week to study but it was my fault since I did not realize that my scores had expired. I feel as if my chances are slim now for admittance but at least I tried.

Has anyone not been able to access their TEAS results right after the exam?

I took it this morning and when I tried to submit the exam, it said there was an error and to get the proctor. I did and he said something about the server going offline so he had to manually submit my test. I then received a print out that I had completed the TEAS, but my results would be posted in my account after 48 hours. Sure enough I checked my account and they're not there. Has this happened to anyone else?

If the print out said 48 hours that's probably why you can't see the results.. I would call ATI to confirm and advise them of your 8/15 deadline. Where did you take your exam? I take mine Thursday so hopefully nothing bad happens ?

Yeah I realize that lol but just thought it was odd since everyone has said they could access their results immediately. I’m assuming this has something to do with the server going offline bc I couldn’t even see my results (I think I read that you see your results once you hit submit). I took it at the PSI Testing center at 7111 Harwin

Normally yes, you would get your results immediately. But since yours had that error and said it would take 48 hours I'm only assuming its because of your error. But deff call. And ok mine is a testing center in Katy!

If we applied last semester did we need to do an apply Texas again? I'm worried I may have totally messed up because I assumed since I was admitted to TWU in general in the fall that I didn't need to do apply Texas again.

I think admission to TWU is good for a year, I would reach out to them to confirm though.

Okay I'm actually freaking out now... I contacted them thru chat and this is what they said: "The score will populate in your account within 72 hours of completion of the test. That information is on our website. It you test at a school, on computer, it scores immediately. But when you test at a PSI site, there is a delay."
