TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Updated:   Published

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

Yes!! Here's to hoping the application cycle ends soon and we start school in January! ? how is your admissions score looking for TWU? My first attempt at the TEAS back in January (78% overall) has me at a 42 so I am retaking the TEAS this Friday!

If I did it right I think my admissions score is at a 53 point something? But I’m going to recheck it again just in case.

Try taking the HESI? UTHealth and PVAMU are also in Houston, their deadline for Spring 2020 is still open.

Hesi is much easier, IMO. I scored a 95 on hesi and 89 on teas. Did anyone feel opposite?

Do you take the critical thinking part in the Hesi test? how is it?

My 'backup' school was TCC in Fort Worth and they didnt require it. Hoping thia applicant pool is a littler lower so we all get in lol

My NursingCAS app still shows in progress and I applied in June. Anyone else has the same status? I have my sign on info for TWU and they emailed me to notify me they received my transcript. Not sure as to why it is taking so long.

It might stay that way until the application period ends, I would think. Under application status does it at least say your transcripts were verified?

Hesi was definitely easier IMO as well. But I also felt like the hesi study guide from evolve was easier to digest than the mometrix TEAS guide too

Did you send your transcripts to NursingCAS? You have to send them to both TWU for the ApplyTexas part, and then send to NursingCAS. If it isn’t verified by now then I would definitely call NursingCAS and see what’s up

I totally agree. The NursingCAS people have been super helpful and incredibly responsive any time I've needed help from them.

Yes I sent them to both. TWU and NursingCas notified me that they received it. But for nursingCas it has been well over a month and no changes on status. What I am thinking is that my TEAS may have expired. I took it Feb and May 2018
