TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Updated:   Published

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

Yes. I had my transcripts sent electronically and received an email from NursingCAS the next day stating that they were received.

My schools send them by mail... Though they process transcript order via Credentials...

I would say retake it. If your cumulative points is less than 45.3 (for Houston campus). The Dallas campus is WAY more competitive. If i’m not wrong I think the students there apply with at least 53 cumulative points.

This is actually my second time applying to this program because I did not get accepted in spring and I had an 83% on the teas and like a 3.68 science gpa. I also believe the spring is more competitive than the fall, so you might want to shoot for at least an 87% on the teas.

What was your admission score the first time?

As the deadline comes closer, the more nervous and stressed I am!! Especially researching and looking through what acceptable admission scores are... I am kinda nervous because I know Houston is usually competitive during spring. I am shooting to have 43 total admission points but many are saying Houston typically accepts people about 45...

It was 38.4 I believe. I had no preference nor any previous Bachelor’s degree so those points were just for my science gpa and teas scores ?

I was told by an advisor high 45+ was good and 50+ was competitive.

Hi everyone, so yesterday I asked an advisor if the nursingCAS application needed to be submitted by the deadline or had to be in verified status by the time frame, and she said "it just has to be in by the deadline."

Has everyone received an acceptance from TWU? I’m still waiting for them to accept me so I can finish my NursingCAS.

Hi! I'm applying for spring 2020 and I'm wondering how you guys are sending your transcripts? Do you just go through your schools website? I'm just confused.

I believe on your school's website has a link or something like that which leads you to the transcript order. If you can't find one, then you should ask your school admission, so they can help you with the process ?

I'm applying for Spring 2020 BSN also. I checked my Admission Status in the WebAdvisor for Applicants. It said I got accepted for NURSENTRY.BS for 20/SP at Denton. This has to be a mistake because I did not even submit the NursingCAS application at all. Anyone else get this?

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm dull. I got accepted into the regular TWU, I still have to apply to the nursing program ?

When did you apply to TWU?

I was mistaken. However, I applied a couple of weeks ago. I'm submitting my NURSINGCas app today (really late, I know).
