TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Updated:   Published

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

hey guys, so I just found out that I got a 70% on my teas and I haven’t been in the best mood lately, the thing is I don’t want to retake before aug 15, bcos I really want to study hard and not just cram everything in a few weeks. Do you think I should still apply?

I'd retake it because you would still have enough time to review and apply with a better chance of getting in but if you feel confident then its up to you

I'm applying to Dallas for Spring 2020. I have all my prerequisites, so if I don't get in....I don't know what I will do. Anybody applying anywhere else? Thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Hey guys, I need your help pls, I need to make this decision tonight, So I plan to retake my teas but the only date available is August 8th, and the deadline is August 15th. Will it be smart for me to retake it? Or will I expect a kind of delay,

I would say retake it. If your cumulative points is less than 45.3 (for Houston campus). The Dallas campus is WAY more competitive. If i’m not wrong I think the students there apply with at least 53 cumulative points.

This is actually my second time applying to this program because I did not get accepted in spring and I had an 83% on the teas and like a 3.68 science gpa. I also believe the spring is more competitive than the fall, so you might want to shoot for at least an 87% on the teas.

Okay but do u think taking t on the 8th will affect anything

I honesty do not think so because the deadline is until the 15. Usually you get your scores right after you are done taking the exam. Just make sure you send them right away. Last time I didn’t get accepted took it I took it on the 7th of August actually and they still got my scores on time.

How do I calculate my cumulative points?

The first link explains the steps for you to do the calculating , and the second is where you actually do the calculating.

No problem, and good luck!

Yes I will apply to uthealth as well, however I’m not really getting my hopes un for that school, because nobody really knows what they go based on to accept their students. I took the HESI already just in case and got a 90%. That way I can at least give it a shot.
