TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Updated:   Published

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

I would say retake it. If your cumulative points is less than 45.3 (for Houston campus). The Dallas campus is WAY more competitive. If i’m not wrong I think the students there apply with at least 53 cumulative points.

This is actually my second time applying to this program because I did not get accepted in spring and I had an 83% on the teas and like a 3.68 science gpa. I also believe the spring is more competitive than the fall, so you might want to shoot for at least an 87% on the teas.

where did you apply the first time? Dallas?

I applied to the Houston campus which is believe less competitive than the Dallas.

Hi! Does anyone know the cutoff score for spring might be this year? My admission score is 55.7 as of now ( 80.7 on teas, 3.88 gpa, and twu preference points.) I am retaking my TEAS this upcoming week and I hope to get a few points higher to bump me up to the 60s). I'm really nervous but hopeful! I am applying for Dallas campus.

You should be fine for Houston. I met with an advisor on Friday and she said 45+ was good but 50+ was very competitive!

Do you think I will be okay for Dallas? I saw earlier on this forum that the lowest admitted score for Dallas Spring 2019 was a 51. I'm still retaking my teas this week! My advisor said I would get in with a 56, but some part of me is still hesitant!

Can't day for certain about Dallas, I only spoke with the Houston advisor. If the advisor told you that you should get in I would probably not stress myself with retaking the test

Has anyone here get the notifications from NursingCAS that the transcripts have received?

Yes. I had my transcripts sent electronically and received an email from NursingCAS the next day stating that they were received.

Yes. I had to send my transcript through mail. I paid extra to have it sent over night. Next day I got email confirmation from NursingCas they had received it.

Mine were received about a week ago but I have gotten any notifications about it since, so I don't know if my transcript has been put in or not...

I just asked NursingCAS about mine... They said that it might take up to 7-10 business day to process and post to my application. So I just need to wait...

That was fast, tbh...
