TWU Spring 2022 APPLICANTS

Published

I haven't seen a forum for the Spring 2022 cycle yet, so I decided to make one! What are yall's current stats? Did you see on nursingcas TWU added a special question section??

Hey everyone! I'm looking at applying to the WEP and still need to take my TEAS. What sites would be recommended on taking a practice TEAS test to see where I am at, so I know what to focus my studying on.

Hey everyone I’m so happy to see a thread for twu Spring 22. Looking for a thread for shsu Spring 22. But Anyways here are my stats:

GPA 3.1

TEAS 90.7

im applying for the Houston location. Super nervous cause as you can see my GPA is super low but hopefully my TEAS score will make up for it. Good luck everyone !!

Hey all!

I just submitted my application and I asked the advisor what type of criteria makes an applicant competetive. They said acceptance offers are sent out late October early November, and the wait list are usually sent the next day. They have a completely new system where the excel sheet does not apply any more. They will be looking at volunteer work experience, essays, and demographic information. Just wanted to let you all know to really put all you can into your app. Good luck!

Did anyone use the transcript help tool on Nursing CAS? (The one that costs money.) If so, is it worth it?

I am applying for Spring 2022 too but after reading this forum it doesn't seem like my chances are too great LOL

I'm applying to Houston, but taking my TEAS again in a few days.

Are any of y'all second BS applicants? I read that they used to consider that too?

I am a second BS applicant. They still give you points for it. I think the new route gives people the opportunity to be considered even more if they have experience. Also I typed out my classes it only took 2 to 3 hours and I had a ton of classes.

This is a dumb question, but how do they calculate for credits that are +/- grades since they go by just A, B, C, etc.?

It's not a dumb question at all. I know on excel you just use the letter no matter if it is negative, so A- or A equals 4, B is 3,etc. However, I do not know how it works as someone that looks over the application. You might want to ask the advisor.

I know Nursing CAS says you cannot use your unoffical transcripts to enter coursework, but did anyone do so anyway?

Hello everyone!

I am wanting to apply for the Spring

TEAS- 82.7%

Science GPA- 3.44

Overall GPA - 3.36

My admission score is 50, which im not sure if thats going to be competitive enough for Dallas. I am retaking my TEAS and hopefully I can get a higher score.

Also, I don't know if anyone has looked at NursingCas but it does ask you a question "If your first choice is not available would you consider admission to another campus?" does anyone know if that means that if I don't get accepted into the dallas nursing program I could be considered for the Houston one?

Goodluck to everyone!
