  1. I am only applying to Dallas and I sent my application very early. I got a verification email from nursingcas but not an eligibility one from TWU.
  2. No I have not gotten mine yet.
  3. On nursingcas it will only tell you the status of transcripts that were sent to nursing cas. It can't tell you if it arrived at TWU. If you received acceptance to twu as a general student and sent transcripts to twu then you are probably fine.
  4. As said before you have to send all transcripts to both TWU and Nursingcas. Nursingcas usually notifies when they receive a transcript, but you can check the status of them under my apps. Then you click the triangle arrow and it pulls down all the schools that have your transcript whether it's not received, pending, or received.
  5. When you submit your application, Nursingcas verifies the classes you put in with your transcripts and makes sure everything is filled out.
  6. It's not a dumb question at all. I know on excel you just use the letter no matter if it is negative, so A- or A equals 4, B is 3,etc. However, I do not know how it works as someone that looks over the application. You might want to ask the advisor.
  7. I am a second BS applicant. They still give you points for it. I think the new route gives people the opportunity to be considered even more if they have experience. Also I typed out my classes it only took 2 to 3 hours and I had a ton of classes.
  8. Hey all! I just submitted my application and I asked the advisor what type of criteria makes an applicant competetive. They said acceptance offers are sent out late October early November, and the wait list are usually sent the next day. They have a completely new system where the excel sheet does not apply any more. They will be looking at volunteer work experience, essays, and demographic information. Just wanted to let you all know to really put all you can into your app. Good luck!
  9. So the Mometrix has a good overview, but it's definitely lacking in detail. I think you definitely need to know hormones, organelles, concepts of all of the organ systems, root words, etc., I didn't get a question on this but I have a feeling from practice tests you need to know tricuspid and mitral valves and how blood flows, respiratory system in regards to diaphragm and alveoli/gas exchange, reproductive system, sweat glands and what they secrete, stuff like that. If you have a good concept of each system you can probably eliminate answer choices. In regards to ATI, I think the online practice tests or question Bank would be very valuable. The most important thing to do is to practice and mainly study your weakness. Let me know if you need any other tips!
  10. I just got my TEAS results. I got a composite score of 90%. The questions were kind of weird. I didn't study much but used the Mometrix book. English grammar was my hardest. I've taken a lot harder tests, so I would suggest in hindsight to buy ATI online materials just to get used to the software alone. I have messed up vision from facial paralysis so the tiny print was brutal for my double vision LOL. Anyways, I am also applying for the Dallas traditional track. I hope we all get in to our respective campuses!
  11. I have not taken the TEAS yet, but I was surprised to see there was personal statement options. I thought this application did not require them.
