I haven't seen a forum for the Spring 2022 cycle yet, so I decided to make one! What are yall's current stats? Did you see on nursingcas TWU added a special question section??

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but I was surprised to see there was personal statement options. I thought this application did not require them.

it's new to this semester! I believe they are trying a new holistic approach to the application process. The questions are only less than 900 words!

I applied to TWU Dallas a few days ago. Not sure when we'll start hearing back from them.

Science GPA- 3.42
Overall GPA - 2.9 (Core Requirements almost killed me)
I have 3+ years exp. working as a MA in cardiology and urgent care.
Good luck to everyone! I hope to see you all come Spring '22!

Hi!! I'm also looking to apply for the Spring!!
I was looking around at some of the old forums and notice a lot of people talk about a point system for applications?? I know there's an excel spreadsheet that you can use to help figure out GPA, but I can't find much about the point system??
Hey! Yeah so TWU uses a point system based on your GPA and your TEAS exam score. Here's a link to the spreadsheet: https://twu.edu/media/documents/nursing/GPA-WS-2018.xlsx
All you have to do is input your grades (number-based) and your test score You should see the total points you have near the bottom right corner.

hi!!
I’ll be applying to the Houston center.
I am nervous because my stats are:
Core GPA: 3.45
Science GPA : 3.69
TEAS: 81.3%
no added points.
my point score is a 42 which I believe is low compare to others:’)
I wasn’t sure if I should retake my TEAS exam again since the average they take is 85%. but from previous chats I see that most have applied within those scores.
I see that houston is easier to be admitted although I’m not sure what to expect with the new application process.

Hey!
My score is around yours and I'm applying to the houston campus as well! I've debated on retaking my TEAS a third time, but I do not think I will because a lot of people say you don't score much higher after the second time. Have you applied to any other schools?
As for the new application process, I am really excited! I feel like it gives the school a chance to get to know us a bit more personally - kind of like a mini interview!
What are your scores if you don’t mind sharing ?
I was reading the question and I agree!
I’ll be applying to UT Health and UTHSCSA.

sorry for the late reply!
TEAS: 83
Science GPA: 3.8
I believe my score is around 43-44, I can't remember exactly! I am applying to Houston!
Also guys I mentioned earlier that the new questions for this year are less than 900 words, that was a mistake! I was working on my application today and noticed that it is less than 900 CHARACTERS, sorry for the misinformation ?
