I haven't seen a forum for the Spring 2022 cycle yet, so I decided to make one! What are yall's current stats? Did you see on nursingcas TWU added a special question section??
Hey everyone,
I am applying to the Houston location and am also applying to UT Health and Texas a&m.
My stats are:
Science GPA- 4.0
Overall GPA- 4.0
TEAS- not taken yet
I have no previous bachelors or TWU preference bump.
Good luck to everyone!!
also any tips for the TEAS is highly appreciated (:
Hi everyone,
I applied last fall and did not get in. I had a 3.5 GPA for both and a 84% in TEAS.
Since then I have retaken classes and now I have a
4.0 nursing GPA
3.84 overall GPA
I am going to be retaking my TEAS this coming Monday. I’ve been studying using a book and I am applying to Houston campus.

I took my TEAS today and got an 88.7 and my admission score is a 53 now. Hoping to get into Houston.
I am so surprised that there aren't many people posting on this thread. In previous application cycles, I have seen lots of posts for this program. Wondering if not many people will be applying for the Spring?
I am reapplying for Dallas Spring 2022.
Science GPA: 3.84
TEAS: 86.7
no additional points
I will be retaking the TEAS before the application is due. Hoping I get in this time around. Trying not to rely too much on the new personal statement considerations, because I am so used to this program being a points based system. However, I am happy to see they are trying a holistic approach and will be answering the questions as best as I can. Good luck everyone!
I just got my TEAS results. I got a composite score of 90%. The questions were kind of weird. I didn't study much but used the Mometrix book. English grammar was my hardest. I've taken a lot harder tests, so I would suggest in hindsight to buy ATI online materials just to get used to the software alone. I have messed up vision from facial paralysis so the tiny print was brutal for my double vision LOL.
Anyways, I am also applying for the Dallas traditional track. I hope we all get in to our respective campuses!

I am so surprised as well! I am used to seeing a bunch of replies on the older application cycles, especially this close to the application deadline.
I am actually no longer applying to TWU because I got admitted into another one of my choice schools! Good luck to you and everyone else!!

congratulations on your TEAS score ! I currently have been using the mometrix book to prepare and I like it better than the actual ATI manual. If you don't mind me asking, how was the science section? That is the main section that I feel as if no matter how much I study for it, I will never feel 100% "ready".
So the Mometrix has a good overview, but it's definitely lacking in detail. I think you definitely need to know hormones, organelles, concepts of all of the organ systems, root words, etc., I didn't get a question on this but I have a feeling from practice tests you need to know tricuspid and mitral valves and how blood flows, respiratory system in regards to diaphragm and alveoli/gas exchange, reproductive system, sweat glands and what they secrete, stuff like that. If you have a good concept of each system you can probably eliminate answer choices. In regards to ATI, I think the online practice tests or question Bank would be very valuable. The most important thing to do is to practice and mainly study your weakness. Let me know if you need any other tips!

The one thing that’s going to get you is your science GPA. I’ve read on previous forums. That you need at least a 3.8.
