TWU Spring 2014 Applicants

Published

Hey everyone. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those hoping to get into TWU starting Spring 2014. My name is Kia and I have already sent in my application and completed my TEAS V exam. I'll be in the Denton campus patho class this fall (trying to wait patiently for an acceptance letter-GOD willing).

If anyone else didn't know, you might want to go check your TWU emails now.

well there was a checklist on the TWU website on number 7, it states to check your twu email DAILY in SEPT/OCT.

Yeah I had no idea there was even a checklist, I barely had the time to even apply because I got wait listed at other schools for the fall semester, but I didn't find out until 2 weeks before the spring deadline, so I just had to hurry up and apply to TWU. It really sucks because I signed up for the TEAS for TWU, so it should have automatically sent my scores. Well that's one less person yall have to compete with so good luck to the rest of you!!! :]

When do you guys think we'll start hearing back?

ErqsIt was all over the map! I wasn't sure what all the accepted people had in common. Some had really grea t TEAS scores, but GPA's less than 3.5. Some peo ple have really mediocre stats, but they had a prevnous bachelors. Very few had less than 3/4 preferences. There was a pretty lengthy post in the TWU fall 2013 thread from an admissions officer explaining how they evaluated different candidates. I guess she got tired of the emails and phone calls :) I'll be so glad when this is over, I get less sure of myself the longer I wait! It's pretty interesting, you should check it out!

I called yesterday, and they told me at the end of October beginning of November. I hope we all get in, however I see that many people have perfect stats so I am little bit down and don't know what to think. I need to get a plan B in case I don't get accepted.

Hi everyone I applied to TWU Houston. I haven't heard anything yet. Hope we hear something soon. Good luck to everyone!

well dont get your hopes up. but i have a friend who is currently in TWU Houston and she made a 70 on her teas and somewhat around the 3.0 and got in. but here is the catch though the first semester is pretty huge but it dwindle down pretty fast. long story short get accepted into TWU is pretty high but chance of getting kicked out is also pretty high too (due to failing grades and such). NOT IN ANYWAY TRYING TO SCARE ANY OF YOU. and im sure it goes to the same for other nursing school too but all in all keep calm and study on guys

Yeah, you are right and it works the same for any school. Can someone tell me a good book for pathophysiology, wanted to start studying the subject. Also, how I found out what classes we need to take during the first semester? Thank you.

How are you guys taking pathophysiology without been accepting to the program? Please help.

She was probably calculating the gpa specific to their required prereqs

To take pathophysiology, we have to accepted first right?
