TWU Spring 2014 Applicants

Hey everyone. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those hoping to get into TWU starting Spring 2014. My name is Kia and I have already sent in my application and completed my TEAS V exam. I'll be in the Denton campus patho class this fall (trying to wait patiently for an acceptance letter-GOD willing).

Well it's probably not until November when we get to hear back about our admissions. Last year thread said it was Nov 1 when they begin to receive admissions.

Anyways, TWU says you have to check your email and respond by 5 days. Has anyone receive any emails since Sept 1st?

I haven't. Hope that's a good sign though.

I haven't gotten any emails yet. I also check the portal website just in case. This is killing me since TWU Houston is my first choice

Just got an email today stating a course that I still need (a math class). I just replied saying that I'm currently taking that class and it would be completed by end of fall semester. My heart stopped when I saw they sent me an email lol. At least it gave me a sense that they are reviewing my application/transcripts. So everyone, look at your emails and respond in 5 days, or else your application would be ineligible!!!!!

I kinda got a similar email....had a panic attack! Was an error with hccs electronic transcript submission for some reason nutrition wasn't on the electronic submission. Even though I already took it in spr13' w/ A. Thankfully spoke with hccs and they corrected it.

"Dear Upper Division Nursing Applicant,

The College of Nursing (CON) at Texas Woman's University in Denton has received your application for upper division nursing. However, your application cannot be processed at this time for the following reason(s):

There is no evidence that you have taken Nutrition, which is considered a nursing core course and required to be completed before the application deadline. You cannot be currently enrolled in the course to be eligible for admission.

If you believe this information is incorrect, please respond to this email no later than 5pm Friday, October 4, 2013. After that time, your application will be considered ineligible.

I hope to hear from you!"

Does it seem like this thread has way less participants than those of previous years, even considering it's a spring semester? I've been checking the threads from previous years for stats of those accepted, and the date the letter came, etc, and at this point, most threads had over 75 pages of comments! Ours only has 26! It sort of feels like there might be less applicants to compete with!

Can you relay the stats of those that were accepted?! I grow more uneasy by the day.. It's going to be the death of me!!

Once people start getting accepted it be great if you could post your stats & what campus you were accepted to.

been waiting since june 1... i received two of the same email stating to check the TWU.edu email constantly but that was back in june 3 i believed. but still a waiting game too here are my stats

4/4 ref.

BS in Chemistry (UH)

77% on Teas V

apparently for my gpa i got around 3.6 but the TWU Lady gave me a 3.4???? still confuse on that part

So I had no idea there was a TWU email that we had to check until thaovu said it.... For all the other schools they email you on your actual email, and you don't have to use your school email until school starts. I just now checked my TWU email and turns out they didn't receive my TEAS score either, even though I sent it months ago. The deadline to send it by was Sept. 16 so it really sucks that my application won't be in the running anymore. I tried calling and emailing the person in charge and hopefully she'll still accept it. But if they don't then it's totally not fair because I didn't get any information about there being a TWU email.
