TWU Spring 2014 Applicants

Hey everyone. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those hoping to get into TWU starting Spring 2014. My name is Kia and I have already sent in my application and completed my TEAS V exam. I'll be in the Denton campus patho class this fall (trying to wait patiently for an acceptance letter-GOD willing).

1933107987, The McGraw-Hill is really helpful too. No you don't have to memorize conversions, the test is provided for you and the problems are really easy.

Just go over the math section in TEAS 5 that will well prepare you for the exam. Some multiplication problems are more complicated than the book.[/quote']

How was the reading section and the science? Please help...

I didn't do well on reading or the science, lol. Science is really broad.. and some questions are confusing. I am a slow reader and the passages are long. Some answers are similar to each other so yea just pick an answer you feel most comfortable with, don't spend too much time on each questions. I left 5-6 questions unanswered at the end. There are many forms of test, So you just have to be well prepared in each topic of the book. Try to go in more depth on your study on each topic because some questions are not simple definition questions. Good luck!

Hello Kia ! I am new to this, I actually just created my account yesterday. I am also applying for spring 2014 college of nursing at Dallas campus. I currently have a 4.0 GPA with all A's. I took my TEAS test yesterday and I am waiting for my score. I am so nervous because I think I bombed it !:( but congrats to you looks like you did really well!

That's how I felt after I took the test.. lol. Hopefully you made a competitive score. The waiting sucks, let me know how you do when you get the results!

Sorry I'm Cinthia :) I got my score back today and unfortunately I only made a 67%. I am so upset because I could've prepared myself better. Hopefully I have a shot at making it :(

Maybe call and talk to an advisor? Or if you're close to the campus you want to attend, go there and ask? Trust me, you'll feel better having a second opinion.

I found making a review sheet of any types of questions I got wrong helped a whole lot when studying fir the TEAS

Don't lose hope, the 4/4 is really good from what other students said. The teas should get weight out by your GPA and preference.
