Hey everyone. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those hoping to get into TWU starting Spring 2014. My name is Kia and I have already sent in my application and completed my TEAS V exam. I'll be in the Denton campus patho class this fall (trying to wait patiently for an acceptance letter-GOD willing).

So I got my acceptance to TWU and created a pioneer portal account. but how do I apply to their nursing program?

NEVER MIND, I GOT THIS. But I do need some advice. I live in Houston but I was wondering if there is any sense in me going to the Dallas campus? Is there a difference in the two campuses? It's probably a stupid question, but just some advice would be delightful (:

I just took my TEAS today! Now the 48 hours of waiting begins :) It seemed okay as far as what the practice tests covered, except for a few science questions that were very specific and not really in the manual, but definitely covered in AP. Nearly ran out of time on the math section, so keep an eye on the clock! Good luck everyone! Hope to see everyone In January!

3.6 GPA

2/4 preferences

79%on TEAS

I am very disappointed with my teas score! I feel like I blew my chances for this semester and will have to retake the test. My TEAS score will need to be very high due to me only having two out of four preferences.

Do I stand a chance?? So frustrated....very down in myself right now :(

Hello Nat,

Don't lose hope, just apply and wait.. we all pretty much clueless until Oct 31. Each admission is different so you never know. Did you apply to anywhere else? I know there is a couple other schools in Houston for BSN nursing. I read previous admission and students were saying they do weight heavy on preferences. Other schools do not look at preferences so you can try them as back up.

Thank you for the encouraging words. Everyone keeps saying to have a backup plan...BUT: I stay at home with my three young kiddos and work nearly full time. I do not have the time or money to invest in a 'plan B.' I cannot apply to Houston because I live in Dallas with my family and we cannot move for school. It is TWU or bust lol. I fear that the 2/4 preferences has me doomed! No matter how much I bring my GPA up or increase my TEAS score. I hate that my past is really biting me now! Have you applied? Do you mind telling me your stats?

I almost ran out of time on the math section too!! I had an abundance of time leftover for the science section though. Hope you did awesome!

Was there a lot of chemistry and physics on the science part if the TEAS?

What are the preferences you guys are talking about regarding TWU's NS admittance?

Mine had very little Chem. know density.
