twu spring 2012 applicants!

See that's what I want to know! UT gives their students the options to rank their hospital and clinical days by preference. I am wondering if TWU gives us this flexibility, because that is a GIANT plus!

@Darcy I added my friend's sister on FB last night who goes to UT to ask her a ton of questions. Never met her before in my life. Students don't seem to mind the interrogation, because they were there once!

I am about 85% on TWU right now, so I understand! lol This is such a big decision! Have you joined the FB page yet? :)

@taylor: Okay! I've sent a message to her and I hope she replies soon! I don't know if she's at clinicals or out partying or something, haha. I'll update you (and everyone else!) as soon as she replies.

I sent my forms in just now! I'm happy about it, feel pretty good about it, but this really is a big decision. I've talked it over with a couple of friends and we've pretty much all agreed on TWU as being the better fit for me, personally, but there's just always that doubt in the back of my mind D: And no, I can't find the page! I keep finding the regular TWU page, but that's not it, is it?

I know a girl who goes to TWU or she might've just finished......but I talked to her when I found out I got acccepted. I'll message her right now and ask her what a typical week schedule would be like and if we get any preferance on hospital and clinical days. Let you know when I find out!

So I have many friends who have finished the TWU nursing program already and are currently working at hospitals now; they have nothing but positive things to say about their nursing program. Personally, I love the school, but I'm a bit biased since that's where my first degree is from.

I hope it will be a great experience as you say cant wait. I just wish they wud give infor on time to schedule our jobs i am a foreigner and have to work to pay my rent but i will make it i have this great will

From the emails that we have already been getting... we do get to pick preferences but it does not guarrantee what hospital we will be at. I am currently a dental assistant and a lot of my patients that are nurses have gone to TWU and love it.

Heard back from a friend who's currently a student at TWU-- she says that the school picks your schedules for you. For her first semester, clinicals were held at a location that you specified, but this semester (her second, I think), it was lottery.

Anything else you'd like me to ask her? I can't think of anything else.

Also, I have it as spring 2012 because that is when we start/applied for, but yes, we graduate in fall 2013.

Ohhh btw, we're up to 28 people in the FB group! That's almost a third of the class! Cmon 30! lol

Awesome teddy, wasn't sure how the page was suppose to be set up since I have some friends graduateing in 2012. Have you decided about TWU or UT-Houston? Congrats, cuz either way they are both amazing schools!
