twu spring 2012 applicants!

Does anyone know if I have to have all three shots of Hepatitis B ready by January? Most schools require only the first two as far as I know. Thank you!

Hey, I know they require at least the first two shots. You might want to email them or call them just in case. I won't have mind completed until Feb and they gave approval for that.

@Hemphia From what I understand, basically all of the prereqs for TWU are the same as UTHSC unless you're a current student at TWU in Denton and then you have to take an additional math, computer, and women's studies class. If you're going to be core complete at your current school before transferring to TWU, then you do not need to worry about those classes. I was told that its just a way to make sure you've completed 120 hours upon graduating...This is at least how it was explained to me when I applied to the Dallas campus. I'm not sure how they'd expect you to complete those extra classes if you're going to Houston as the main campus is where I live here in Denton and that is where they offer the classes

Thanks CristinaL!! I appreciate that information. I'm taking all my core/pre-reqs through San Jacinto college right now, and I am almost done. I will have to call the Houston TWU to find out what I need to do to apply!

I'm really really thinking the first attempts make a big difference because i have a 3.7, 86 on TEAS and only 1 A on first attempt...and I didn't get an email yesterday.

I already got accepted somewhere else but I still REALLY HOPE I will get an email from TWU! Congrats everyone!!!!!!

I got my acceptance email yesterday. Houston! Still waiting on UTHSC...

I had a 3.74gpa, 4.0 sciences (all first attempt) and 89.7 Teas.

It really does seem that making A's on first attempts is most important. There were people talking about being accepted in my Patho class today and they made A's on first attempts, but their TEAS scores were like 60 something....

Hey everyone! I added everyone who requested to join the Houston fb page! :) I am really think the first attempts make a huge difference, too. I had all A's on my first attempts except A&PII (I had a B and retook it for an A), but my TEAS was a 91, so I'm sure that cancelled it out. Both schools (UTHSC-H and TWU) have the same requirements, though, which is why I applied to them alone.

Congrats again to everyone accepted and good luck to those still waiting :) don't lose faith!
