twu spring 2012 applicants!

Congrats to those of you who got accepted and to those who have not heard yet, don't fret. From what I have been told, they send out the letters in groups. They send out a certain amount of letters first and then wait to hear how many plan to attend. Based on that, they send out the second round of letters and so on. A friend of my classmate didn't get her letter of acceptance until mid Christmas break so hang in there!
As far as grades and TEAS, from what I have been told, they put far more weight on the first attempts at A&P, Micro and Stats than the TEAS and GPA scores. I also understand that if you are a second degree student that it benefits greatly regardless of if you took classes at TWU or another school. My advisor told me that they have there own system in figuring out who they think is a good fit for the school and they do not disclose that to anyone outside of the department. So I think that trying to figure out why/how is a lost cause. Just hang in there. I know it's so much easier said than done but it will all work out! :hug::hug:

Thank you :-) I appreciate it. I applied to Dallas. I am pretty sure I am not in the first batch, I doubt they are still sending emails today. But who knows, maybe I will be in the next batch, if some people do not accept the offer. If it is not meant to be, I will just have to have some faith that there is a reason for that. So good luck to all of you who have been accepted, you should be very proud. :yeah:

What was your GPA if you dont mind me asking? Cause my TEAS was a 69 and I haven't heard anything yet. :/

It was 3.6ish- you did a point better on the TEAS- what is your GPA? I had As in all my sciences- I'm not sure if that helped or not..

Congratulations! Well i don't live in Houston, but I would chose the school that's probably closer to my home...among other things like which school suits your personal needs more, and which you think is a better nursing school. :)

Keep your head up, I'm trying to do the same thing here! I wonder if they will send out some more emails tomorrow? Or if it will be like next week. Who knows.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted!!,

I was accepted to the Houston location!! Also,I got an interview invitaiton for UHV. UHV is my first choice, but in the meantime I will accept the offer because the deadline is Nov. 7!! My interview @ UHV is Nov. 28th and is still not guaranteed that I will be accepted and plus I will have to quit my job if I attend the program. For those who have not heard anything, there are a few students that are in between schools, so don't lose hope. I know a few that has UHV program as their first choice that also has acceptance to TWU-Houston location. :dancgrp: A happy dance since I can't celebrate with you guys!!! :yeah:
