Hey guys! I wanted to start a forum for us twu spring 2012 hopefuls!

About me

I have a 3.2, yikes! :sofahider, and after this summer it should come up to a 3.6 or 7 and I am studying my butt off for the teas and will only have 3 more classes after that to take. I have gotten into the university as the first step, but I am so worried about getting into the nursing program, fingers crossed :uhoh3:

I am a little worried about immunizations... I have all of them done but my last Hept can not be taken until 2/16/12. Do you think this will effect my admission requirements? I know we need them before clinicals but I dunno with those start. Worried....

cant hurt to ask, i had not finished my B series and they told me it had to be done before class starts in jan, fourtunatly i got it

I have a friend that just graduated from TWU. I will ask her if clinicals start immediately. Hopefully you can work something out! Good luck!

Hey everyone I'm new to this thread and just recently decided to apply to TWU last minute! Luckily I was admitted quickly but now my nursing school app is saying I'm missing classes that I've already taken. Is anyone else having this problem?? Also, I see that most of y'all seem to be applying to the Houston campus...is anyone going for Dallas like me?! good luck everyone!

I talked to an advisor today and they told me that there is exceptions to the last Hep B. I am so glad:) Hi Christina! I am applying to the Dallas Campus for Spring. So were you admitted the nursing program already or just TWU?

No I've just been accepted to TWU! I'm sending in my nursing program application tonight. I'm surprised there's not an essay or anything like that...does anyone know if there will be something like that later or maybe an interview process? I really don't know much about this program!

@abranson are you a current student at TWU? I'm a transfer student from UNT so I don't get the extra gpa boost :( also, I've heard that doing the Hep A and B vaccination at the same time can help speed things up. Not sure if that even an option for us, but something to think about!

@Christina... I am also a transfer student. I received my BS in Business in 2006 and decided a couple of years ago to go towards nursing school and did my prereqs at TCC. I don't think there is an interview process or essay at all. I think they only look at grades and test scores. Good luck and hope you get in:)

@CristinaL nope, no interview process or essay. Very simple application compared to some nursing schools. I am a transfer student, but I am applying to the Houston campus. Good luck! :)

Good luck to those at TWU!

Welcome DCC and Cristina. I got an acceptance letter for another RN program I applied to! I am so excited. At least I know I will get in somewhere. Worse comes to worst, I will just have to do a RN-BSN transition. Good thing it's 100% online at TWU!

Wow, just a couple more days... hope everybody has everything turned it! Good luck everyone. Don't worry about the wait... it's easier than the last few months (testing, transcripts, prereqs...)

Come on, waiting is the EASIEST thing we'll do between now and our NCLEX. ;)

You're right. Waiting will be the easiest but is building up as time passes. Good luck to all applicants and hope to see you in spring.
